Post Turkeyday business

Yes, I Malena am awake, and have been for over an hour. Why you ask? Well, this town is hoppen! I wake up to a phone call about a role in a film, then an invite to an industry party. Good thing I went to bed early last night.

We had a wonderful time yesterday at my friend Ilona's house. This is the first year I didn't have to cook. Ilona is a vocalist also and boy can she cook! She loves fluffy things and sparklies as much as I do. She served Mic Fleetwood wine..who knew the dude made wine? I hear he's right up there with Francis Ford Coppola. The entertainment industry is taking over the wine business, wait...making it, not drinking it... because I'm quite sure celebs have the wine drinking market already cornered. I on the other hand, ate a sugary treat with little remorse. haha! Ohhh yeah!

Graphic novel artist and writer Steve Bissett, wrote a wonderfully complimentary blog about Lorraine, and her crazy corseted "side kick" Malena. hee hee Read about it here.

We thought you'd need some holiday cheer after eating all that food so, we recorded a new song/dance just for YOU! Check it out here. It's our best one yet!! (I wonder who did the voice over for that?) Hmmm, your in- house DORK maybe?

Ok, now I'm off to start cleaning the house to get ready for company. Now, where DID I put my my french maid outfit? NOT! I will settle for Miles sweats.

Love and Elven cheer!

Malena.... and the soon to be barfing with laughter Lorraine!

I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT. My best friend and bandmate is sick. And nuts.

I am very sorry that she has visited this evil in the world.

And no, it will never leave you head.

Very sorry.

Love to all.

you two are bonkers.
speaking of wine, my lead singer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maynard_James_Keenan) has a wonderful vineyard Merkin & Caduceus Cellars, & he brought us wine for thanksgiving and put a bottle on each bus as a present. So i must agree that the celebs are taking over the wine business. His wine is delicious and precise...
today we are in Wyoming and you can see forever....
love that picture of you two rock goddesses....xo Kit

What a lovely picture of you two.

Celebrity wine making will probably flare as celebrity perfume. Gerard Depardieu tried that In France adn while he's a good drinker, the critics weren's over enthusiast over his efforts at wine making.
Thank goodness, some of them might be better at it (or get better help).

Not a Elf Yourself! I did one with a picture of Lorraine's boss last year (incidentally I can't seem to access this one with any of my browsers).

And I followed the link to the place where you describe your job Lorraine and that had me in giggles (and shudders), although I notice it did not mention shopping for goldfish or rearranging the star formations every evening.
I suppose that is left for those days were work is MAD...
(And I thought rocket engineers were bad!)

THIS celeb is going to be a chocolatier. Wouldn't that be cute? Chocolates in the shapes of corsets. ahhhh! With Rasberry filling...best eaten in hotel rooms in the dark.

Chocolate corset? Where do I place my order?

At 11:34 PM , Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Ah yes. Chocolate and late nights and gigs and hotel rooms.....The printed version would sound much hotter than the actual event, as I remember it, high comedy. And no, that is ALL I am going to say.

Just got back from the first Lojo gig. If Malena had been there....The universe may well have imploded. Kid you not.

Lovely full moon to you all!

What a fabulous picture! Yay! So, uh, I'm a total retard and managed to not have anyone's email address on me, and I'm in L.A. today and tomorrow, with Allistair.

Anyone available for a brief meet-up tomorrow (Sunday) late AM-early PM ish?

Oh, I wish I was out there, that would be some fun, and to get to see the little one. Malena has houseguests this weekend, and so may not be online, but I know if she was around she would have loved to see you too.....

Yeah, I figured it was a long shot - but there's zero chance of anything happening if you don't mention it, so I figured what the hey.

I'm sure Ms. Malena has already been touting the benefits of the glorious weather, but really - it's absolutely beauteous out here right now!

Actually, I think the weather has been cold as all hell. But I'm an ectomorph. (if that the right word) like a snake, my body adjusts to it's surroundings. Kid you not. It's the full moon, so I'm off for a midnight stalk, I mean walk...
muaaaaaaaaaa ha hahaaaaaaaa
My houseguests are a barrel of fun. Miles keeps saying nervously, "Yes on the full Moon Malena goes down a dark path." Pa! Around the neighborhood? A dark Path me? Noooo!

Awwww...you even included Venus and Scalzi. And Ms. Fabulous looks wonderful trying to get you to replay or make your own. ;)

Chocolate works for me, but why ruin perfectly good chocolate with raspberry. ::SHUDDER:: Yuck! Okay, I'll stop now before I go into full rant mode. :)

I was at Lane Bryant today and they have bathrobes with "FABULOUS" in large letters on the back. Of course, I thought of Ms. Fabulous; however, I'm sure they don't have one small enough for you.

And a shoat is a young pig.

Malena. Full Moon. Dark Path.

The fey little spooky creature of the night goes full on bat shit crazy is what happens.

Dark path. Hmmph.

Ex Molly Mormon, Betty Crocker me? Oh dear Lorraine! You are so funny. If you were 2 feet shorter and 20 years younger I'd adopt you as my own child!

Uh, if you were two feet shorter and 20 years younger we would be twins. I am not sure we aren't anyway....

I am still REELing from that show with Lojo the last two nights. Last night was beyond fun. Oh, if Malena had been there...

( actually, SHE would have been calling ME batshit crazy. She would be saying " What do you mean? You don't know eachothers music, you never practice, you haven't HEARD most of eachothers songs, yet you are doing shows and packing the place???" Full on improv. I love it.

We know how eachothers minds work, we are not afraid to look REALLY dorky, and know that if anything can happen, it most likely will.

Magic or train wreck. Fine line. Either works for me.

More from Steve Bissett over at http://srbissette.blogspot.com/ on Lorraine a' Malena
