Gig Tonight!

Nine minutes until I need to nip off and do my gig, leaving you all to your Fiendish Chatter. Nothing I can do about it while I am at the show, but I get home at 12:30 central, and am likely to be awake, so WATCH out!!!!! I'll have things to say then, you can be sure of it.

What to tell you. Launch proceeds nicely. Once you figure out who every one is and what they do, it gets easier. And you stop being surprised by things too. I can get the most amazing letters now and not blink, but in fact, cooly respond and up the anti. Yes, oh, fine. Penthouse please. And the Jag should be silver.**

(**An example only for purposes of humor.)

I have to admit, I am having a lot of fun. I am really good at the logistics of things and putting them together. It's one of my skills. And this launch has so many different components.

I suspect hearing this is about as exciting as watching grass grow, reading over it. Well this is the short version. I promise a more in depth look very soon.

When I have more time. 3 Minutes.

Right.

I am off to the gig. Have a fine evening, and chatter me lots to read on my breaks, yes? Any Fiends coming down. It isn't THAT cold...

Love, and Time,
Lorraine

Gig! I'm going to enjoy your enjoyment via enjoyably vicarious voodoo. Seriously, I've had a lousy day so why not be happy about the remainder of yours? Have big, quaking thunderclouds of fun at the gig. Stay warm!

Great photos!

I wish I could be there but... well... 10 hour drive and all that (such a lame excuse, I know!)

Jag color? Classic green, please. Fiends... what color Jag do *you* want?

At 4:38 PM , Blogger Phiala said...

I don't care what color the Jag is, as long as it comes with a chauffeur. I don't care what color the chauffeur is either.

At 4:39 PM , Blogger Adri said...

I hope the gig is as awesome as always!

I'm going to continue to be pretty absent, since I'm seeing some of my very favorite favorite people tonight, but I just had to check in with Fiends. It's an addiction.

Also to say my client pitch went really well, so I'm on cloud nine at the moment :D

victory arms all around: \o/

Oh, thank heaven that y'all are here and that Fablo will be back later (thinking of you during your gig, knowing that you are rocking the frozen world up there, Q!!). I did homebound again tonight (we are actually behind several hours of designated time because he likes to cancel -- his way of having some control, I guess) and now that I'm home, for some reason I can't quite fathom I keep almost crying. I'll be okay, do NOT need sympathy I promise, just some smiles and y'all are providing those in huge wonderful amounts!! :-)

Oh, and also, in addition to the meeting going super well... I looked faaaaabulous:

fashion photo here

I love that weather here gives me the opportunity to layer. In Texas it's all single layer natural fiber, all the time.

Aglaia, I'm just flopped on the couch knitting with the laptop nearby. Just about done with a quick, warm project: fingerless mitts.

The dog is flopped on my feet, but the cat is CONVINCED he should be on my lap instead of knitting or computer.

Paul and Lorraine LIVE streaming beta

We are doing a test of live streaming which will be in full effect for St Patrick's Day (at which point I will use a much better camera) but this is a test to see how well it works and how good the sound is.

Please come and watch!

There's a chat room there so if you have requests, post them!

Haven't read a single comment, here or on the last post that has 237 comments, (Yes, I'll read them all) but had to say, if you haven't seen the picture Himself posted on his blog of the drive in Iowa - I know that place. I've driven in that place. I've driven on that road when it was like that. And, aren't the wind turbines cool?

I am so Bazonkerly cool - I drive where the Boss drives....

At 6:27 PM , Blogger Siri said...

OK - off to read the other comments, and then back here.

Such marvelous snapshots.

Have a wonderful gig! I seriously am trying to make it so that I can get to the Fiend Gathering in June. I brought it up with my mother and we have solemnly discussed it. (crosses fingers)

At 6:46 PM , Blogger Jess said...

Look at that! Holy crap, I'm at a pixelly Paul and Lorraine gig! Woo! \o/ Getting a little sound distortion and occasional interruption of the stream on my end, Dr. Wicked, if that's helpful. But this is still way cool! Hooray!

Hang on, it's gone. What happened?

Patience is a virtue. I'll wait. You guys sound great, Quiche! :)

I also love that second picture. That's your next avatar right there, Q.

Grace, hugs. I'll try to think of a good joke for you.

How's everyone this fine evening?

At 6:50 PM , Blogger EmilyLady said...

Quite good, Jess -- feeling better after babysitting. My teensy little friend always manages to cheer me up. She cries and drools and snots all over me but is the sweetest little thing in the entire universe. Seeing her is the best medicine for a bad day.

At 6:52 PM , Blogger Jess said...

Hee. :) How old is she?

At 6:54 PM , Blogger EmilyLady said...

Fifteen months! Such a wonderful age.

At 6:56 PM , Blogger AletaMay said...

Emily -- you may have heard me talk about my godchild here from time to time. I have done child care every almost every week with her since she was six months old. She is 12 years old now.

There have been so many times over those years when hanging with her has saved my sanity! Literally. I am so glad you have a wee one to hang with at a time like this. I think it really gives perspective.

At 6:59 PM , Blogger EmilyLady said...

It certainly reassures me that life is never, ever as bad as I might believe.

At 6:59 PM , Blogger Jess said...

What happened to the gig? Is it over?

At 7:01 PM , Blogger Siri said...

Rats - missed the live stream. All for the sake of reading. Ha.

BA - No sympathy. Nope. None at all. (pat pat pat) Nope, that wasn't me.

Emily - I so want you to be able to come to Minn in June. You, my dear, are a strong, vital woman who knows who she can trust. So there.

Green Jag indeed.

Getting ready to strip wallpaper in the kitchen tomorrow. I need to go see if I've move everything that needs moved.

Dr. Wicked - is there a trick to watching?

At 7:08 PM , Blogger Jess said...

Siri: spray bottle containing a solution of water and white vinegar. Works brilliantly. Wallpaper comes right off.

Not that I assume you don't know what you're doing, of course. But it was a revelation to me! :)

At 7:08 PM , Blogger Siri said...

If you haven't clicked on Dr. Wicked's link, do so - it's working now (kind of)

At 7:12 PM , Blogger Siri said...

You assume correctly, ma'am. I don't have a clue. I do have, however, a best friend who knows all about it. She sent me to the right place to get the right stuff and we are good to go.

I also believe it was so poorly put up the we will be able to peel it off with little trouble.
