Freaky Little Kitty

This is too perfect and deserves it's own entry.

I had been thinking of coming home and writing about Freaky Venus Seaweed , never a dull moment with her. She has a new game called Launch, which she has been developing lately. The way she plays it, and as far as I can tell, all it consists of , is she LAUNCHES herself at me. I don't mean a simple run and bite at my feet or hand, she LAUNCHES , from where ever she is, counter, couch, floor the higher up the better, and tries to make it as far up my body as possible and STICK there as long as possible.

This is every bit as painful as one might imagine.

I had heard Bengals will do this, from what I have read.

I had been thinking, on the way home tonight , about the words to describe what exactly living with a Bengal is like.

Thanks to Elionwyr who sent me this link , I no longer have to come up with the words.

The star of this could be Freaky Venus Seaweed....

And every word is true.

Freaky Venus Seaweed is declining to pose for my Photo Booth so I will leave you with a picture of me , ( hey , I have no problem with posing for Photo Booth ) on the way to my gigs ( yes, plural ) today .

Love and Mean Little Kitties,
Lorraine

Adding on in the morning...

Here is Freaky Venus Seaweed having a moment this morning , lying on my legs as I type. Had the brilliant idea to pick up the laptop and take a shot with the Photo Booth. Got it in one. Need a real camera.

bwaha. Priceless.

Gonzo Kitty.

Do they tend to outgrow this, or is it a Forever Bengal behavior?

Not sure.

Our Hera told me about these nail cover things one can get , in a variety of colours, to put on the claws of doom. I am going to get some for Freaky Venus.

I have been home several hours now and we are still re-enacting that video.

I love this cat.

( oh, and Mary, yes,the garden is toast from the frost, but I got everything in , in time.. )

Glad you liked!

Hope the gigs went well! *hug*

The gigs were great. Magic, wonderful, long , hard on the fingers, but really fun.

I am going to buy a new dishwasher and garbage disposal with the $$, how's that for magic, hee-hee???

Freaky Kitty is lying on her back, all legs in the air, in my lap as I type, dead asleep.....When they sleep, they truly do down as they are.

I'm very happy with my Panasonic Lumix camera: 7 megapixel, 10X optic zoom, and several separate settings for taking pictures. It can also take short videos, though I haven't played with that yet.

She looks so relaxed.....I'm sure it's to lure her *koffpreykoff* human into a false sense of security.

Cute N' Evil in the best way.

Are her back paws that enormous, or is it just the angle of the shot? They look like jack-rabbit legs.

Her paws and legs are HUGE, very like jack rabbit legs. She is going to be a giant. And she eats all the time. Anything.

If I were her prey , I would be worried.

mmwwhahahahahah!

Lorraine, You're just too cute! Never saw a kitty with spots like that before! How did you get her to pose like that? Oh, you look beautiful as well! Hard to tell from the photo, are you still a redhead?

Beware of Bengals. I kid you not they can jump 7 vertical feet when they are adults and will take on what ever animal comes near them--usually winning the battle.

I agree, 7 feet EASY. Venus has been hunting a fly for the past half hour and I have seen this. ( fly landed on curtain. Now need to put curtain back up )

They are also the sweetest, smartest, most affectionate cats ever. I would have a houseful if I could. She makes me laugh and cuddles so sweetly.

One just has to know what one is getting into.

( and yes, they do win when they fight. Venus saved me from a roll of toliet paper the other night, the Gods only know what could have happened to me. When toliet paper goes bad..She took it DOWN! )

lol

that really sounds like a perfect kitten Lorraine.

Love the Mean Kitty song. Thanks for sharing Elionwyr... Very cute, that cat is an Egyptian Mao (I watched a couple other ones by the same guy).

Such beautiful catz.

Lovely like my lil calico LaMie.

And you look lovely... a flaming goddess with your fiery hair

Thanks, Rubius! I do love this hair. I haven't been dressing up for gigs in a while, it's been too hot for make-up and such, so it was fun to get dolled up for the wedding.

( this was a WEDDING, I can't imagine spending that kind of money on a party, but the people were really cool , will blog over at paulandlorraine )

I know the cat in the vid is an Egyptian Mao , but that's one of the ones they bred the leopard cats with, kind of a cousin. Looks just like Venus, and acts like Venus. Could be Venus. I mean, who knows what she does when I am gone all day?????

( I think Malena has been getting her work on the side, in movies.....)

Actually my first thought when I saw it was how much it looked like Venus. I was surprised how much bengals look like maos.

Holy everything Hera, that was FUNNY.

*still chortling*

If Hera and I had a Freaky Kitty Contest , I am not sure who would win. Not at all. I do know that no-one else would even be in the running....

What colour Claw Covers tho, that is the question. I think purple....

Well... LaMie does eat some pretty freaky things... she especially likes spiderweb and slug... she seems keen on eating spiders (but I think she prefers the hunt) and isn't sure about silverfish and wasps, but she still stalks them.

She really likes getting covered in spiderweb and licking it off of herself, like she is just a big cotton candy roll of spiderweb.

I think that is pretty freaky.

Oh, my parents' kittens do the "launching" too, and they're black (and non-purebred) so they have no Bengali excuse.

They also do this on all my parents' walls that have textured wallpaper.

They too are cuddly and delightful when not being tigers.

K... That's GREAT!!! lol, nice pic

Your LamIe eats spiders? I like her already! All this talk of cats makes me want one. But with my pig dogs, nothing alive is safe.
Fablo's cat is really a baby mountain lion.

Venus saved you from a toilet paper attack?
How brave and mighty she is (I've seen what rogue toilet paper can do to a garden - a "yard" they called it - when I was an exchange student in NC back in ... - yickes! - and it wasn't pretty).

Great picture of you.

I've only just watched that video and the kitty attitude did very much remind me of Microbe, the adorable micro-pest that adopted me in August...
Maybe all kittens are alike ?(mind you Microbe has an excuse: he was a stray cat).
