Hope someone is still reading here, as I am baffled about commenting on the new site. I can't login. It says my username is invalid, AND my browser doesn't have cookies enabled. But, in fact, neither is true! When I go into Firefox to enable cookies they already are (as I thought) and neither of the possible usernames works. I get the same message when I click on log-in through Google. Help???
(and the white on black looks pretty...but my eyes hurt after a dozen comments. I'll never make it through our more usual hundred...

I've had login problems too. The google login didn't work for me in any useful way (though it said I was logged in), and the wp login had some issues too.
Here's the user's colors solution:
Go here: bookmarklets. "Zap colors" is one of the examples in the instructions. Drag it to your bookmark/links bar.
Now go to Q's new site, and click on that new bookmark. Yay readable!
(Bookmarklets in general are wildly useful, but that one is my all-time favorite.)

Word Press, while great for some things, is not working for me, as a blog.
