My Day At Work, Werewolves and Wet Bengal..

Feeling better today and thank you! My brain, however is being eaten by Coraline. It's not that things aren't going well, on the contrary, they are going very well, with some great teams working to make it all work...There's just a lot of it.

I'd tell you about it, and I am not holding back, it's just not frightfully interesting. Check flights from city A to city B, confirm, confirm cars from A to B, and hotel at B, get schedule, confirm. Move onto Flights from City B to city C, check cars confirm, check hotels, and get schedules....

And you work with the Studio, the US distributors, the Int'l ones, the Canadian ones..(Who for reasons known only to a few, are not part of Int'l. I am not one who knows this secret. I go with it, just happy to have people to talk to.

I do a lot of making sure things get where they need to. All media has to go thru Someone who is not me. Depending on who, they get sent where. You can't have media flying around all over.......

All requests for Time have to be decided on. Where is he, what is he doing, who is he doing it with and who are we missing?????

I don't do this alone either. Boss's bits take both Cat and I. She is saving me right now, which works both ways. How do we decide who does what? Depends on who is better at what, and there are no egos here. Three or four times a day we go over everything, updating, making sure we are on the same page, and that page is written with words that mean something.

Tomorrow "Rise of the Lycans" opens, which I am excited about for a couple of reasons. I have always thought that the Underworld movies, 1 and 2, were two of the best movies going. Took me a couple times to Get It, but once I did...It's about Story these films. And yes, no Kate and no Zita Gorog, but I trust that this group knows what they are doing.

And I think what they are doing is a Story that has a whole lot of vision.

The other reason I am excited, is I get to see it. And all I have to do is walk in the theater. But I have a LOT of sympathy for the Lycans crew, as you see, I know what they've been doing for the last couple of months.

Venus just came in and apparently, wants to be DRIED. She is wet. Very wet. This bothers me somewhat....

Love and work,
Lorraine

Done? No.

I've been wondering what Coraline bits still needed doing... lots apparently. But I am glad thy boss is in good hands with you and Cat.

I wonder if Canada is not part of 'international' because we usually have everything at the same time as US ... while there are usually delays for other countries when it comes to movies. We get US advertising and US release dates usually. Would that make sense?

Have fun at Lycans.

We'll worry about how much Coraline is eating your brain when you get button eyes.

The logistics of getting Boss taken care of sound crazy! Although, I had to giggle about "Boss's bits take both Cat and I." because my brain, which lives in the gutter, interpreted that wrong the first time.

Why is Venus wet?

At 4:07 PM , Blogger Rubius said...

So the other question is 'what exactly did Venus do to get we'... is she swimming in your coffee table fish bowl? did Mim give her a head-to-claw tongue bath?

At 4:09 PM , Blogger Stacy Hurt said...

I would hazard a guess about Canada being that it's 'contiguous' to the U.S.? Just guessing; Int'l may mean separated by the lovely pond; who knows. I sucked in Geog. and still do. I barely know the around the edges states let alone any of the square ones in the middle. Sad really.

Glad to hear Ms. Fab is up and about & getting things done. Brain work is so much more tiring at times than physical labor so one should still remain careful. Oh; and yes; by all means; dry the cat.

missed you!

or did they discover another portal to the outside?

has Venus been taking diving lessons?

is she taking after her (goddess) namesake... riding on shells in the foamy wine-dark sea?

I read Dragonrider... it was fun but I am afraid that I am getting too old (wahhhh) to truly get into some kids stories these days.

At 4:11 PM , Blogger Rubius said...

oh... and don't use the hairdryer to dry cats... it doesn't go well... in my experience.

haha

and btw Jess... thanks for hte Watchmen link... COOLNESS

Oh, did you get the indoor fish ponds going, and Venus fell in?

Aleta, I liked your 3-day work week at-triple-pay concept.

At 4:15 PM , Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Wasn't the water dish. Eeewww....

Datagoddess, Bosses are like bandmates, the LAST people you'd ever want to be involved with.

Rubious, the movie is well done, but you have to LAUNCH it into the world, those are the bits we are doing now. Intl junket, US Junket, Canadian and then LAUNCH...

If it works it's a pretty neat trick.

At 4:15 PM , Blogger AletaMay said...

I hope you will tell us what made Venus wet! Inquiring minds and all that.

I think I need to see the Underworld movies. I am out of the loop on this one.

It really sounds like you and Kitty have a great system worked out. Being part of a good team makes all the difference I think!

At 4:16 PM , Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

No the tank is sort of, um sitting there. But I did take poor dead fish out today and gave him a decent burial.

Might have been what Venus was after, come to think on it...

At 4:18 PM , Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

When it came time to add another person to the team, Boss and I talked about it, and she was both of our first picks. I wanted someone I could work with and get things done with.

Someone who had his interests first. Which an Assistant has to do. Cat is REALLY good.

At 4:20 PM , Blogger Chantrelle said...

Glad Boss is in the very able hands of you two ladies!

Sorry for the wet cat! bleh!

I'm in the thrilling world of laundry. Our washing machine broke a few days ago and sears finally got out to fix it this morning. I was already a week behind when it broke monday!! Many piles.

Now i'm sneaking a cup of hot chocolate while ben is in his quiet time in his room...how evil of a mom am i?!?!

At 4:22 PM , Blogger Chantrelle said...

OH, did i tell you guys that hubby is getting me a coraline cake for my belated bday party on sunday? He took a picture down to our bakery the other day for them to scan onto the cake...teehee! Not to mention that their cakes are TO DIE FOR!!!

May have to bust out the halloween outfits for the occasion. I can't cook with those buttons on though, i couldn't see a damn thing when i was wearing those!

At 4:23 PM , Blogger DataGoddess said...

I was just giggling at the phrasing, I knew what you meant. What can I say, I'm 12 (insert Bevis & Butthead noises) :-D

And it doesn't surprise me with everything Boss does it's taking both of you to make sure he's where he needs to be with what he needs to have. It takes a hell of a lot of work and coordination, I imagine.

Does Venus have the "I meant to do that" look going, or just the "dry me now, don't ask questions" vibe?

At 4:24 PM , Blogger Phiala said...

Okay... done enough that I can at least take the stuff home with me instead of staying here at work forever.

My brain hurts...

Oh. Hm. I could do that IF the right pages had printed. Next up: printer troubleshooting.

At 4:29 PM , Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Ah Mistress, escape!!!!!! The work is never DONE is it??

Chantrelle, I don't know how evil a mother you are but you do, uh, have button eyes these days...

I have laundry DOWN. The clothes live in the basement you see, and every day I take the old ones down and get new ones, throwing the old in the washer. When it's full it runs.

Of course if my clothes weren't all black this might not work.

Venus had the Dry me don't ask face on, and now is curled up beside me, in need of love, which if she fell in the toilet, I can understand.

Rubius, I can tell you little dogs don't like hair dryers either. Mulder put holes in Pete's t'shirt trying to scramble over his shoulder and escape the evil machine a few weeks ago. Failed experiment.

Lorraine, I am hoping to see Rise of The Lycans this weekend. Yah.

I'm having cat flaps put in on the door to my room (hopefully today) so the cat battles will CEASE in my room .. the 3 cats have been waging WW3 in my room ... all night long ... every night... since we moved into the new place. Hopefully the other cats will be too fat to fit through my cat flap... while my little lamie shouldn't have a problem.

At 4:57 PM , Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Introducing Cats is tricky. Best to go really slowly, the slower the better, exchanging sleeping blankets, let them get used to scents, then having only short supervised play with toys and LOTS of chicken....SO something good happens whenever the new cat is around. Go SLOW tho.

I don't even want to think of what Venus might have been doing ...

Sounds like Coraline has been wild ride for everyone involved. William and I are having much fun reading the novel together; William is still trying to figure out whether the other parents are good guys or bad guys. "They SOUND good," he tells me, but he is growing more suspicious by the page.

At 5:53 PM , Blogger Siri said...

OK. No more worms.

Still have to miss an out of town event, again, though. Why can't it be summer, warmer, after legislative session, when all the projects are done.

Projects pay for food, and electricity and gas for trips. Projects are good.

grrr

Chewin' the furniture. That's what I'd be doing if I were you, Q, and that's why it is good that you are you and I am someone else. Nobody wants rto live with gnawed furniture.

Actually I feel like I could gnaw on the furniture at the moment. I can't really articulate why. There are Many Factors, not the least of which is that my dad's been here all day pounding on the house again. Just makes you want to go grrrr after a while, even if he is doing a lovely job, and a big favor. Graah.

Enough about me. Dan, fantastic! When does the interview happen? Hope it goes well.

Rubius - you're welcome! I really want to see that film.

Speaking of films: someone tell me about Underworld. I know nothing about it. What about? Who in? Would me likey? Amd why am I slipping into broken, monosyllabic sentences?

Oh, to be anywhere but here on Monday. Even Minneapolis. Unless it gets cold again. I draw the line at -30 degree temps.

Magic Breakthru!!!!!!!!

He sniffed me! I put my finger out and he sniffed and let me finger rest on his cheek for a moment!

I was on the phone with Marilyn when he did it! And I couldn't speak!

We did it again, he sniffed again and then chewed me a little. The bit, but not hard, and she says not to worry, just don't act like prey. heh.

And then I found he had peed on the bed. Heh. I love this Leopard!

Am getting a waterproof matress cover tomorrow.

This is very normal, says Marilyn, she says he is scared, wanting to be with me, but out of his comfort zone so it's hard for him.

But I touched him!! Or rather, he touched me, he said Hello!

The important thing is he is coming out, having fun and wanting me to be there, and he said Hello!

I would love to be in Minneapolis on Monday. But I have to be in Paris at the same time and there is only one of me and I have no assistant to figure out this type of feats for me.
Any Coraline opening in Italy that you know of?

My cats are fascinated by water and by the loo so I expect that sooner or later one of them at least will take the plunge (hopefully when it contains clean flushed water).
So great that Magic did a sniff and rub (possibly a little "Sorry Mum, I needed that blanket to smell like me before I could venture out") and even a little gnap (Caos does that when he wants something from me).

Oh and Jess, if memory serves me well, you can still get snow in Minnesota in June (hopefully not at the end of June, though).

Yahooties!!

I have identified the likely theater to have Coraline (*AND* in 3D, to boot) when it opens.

Tomorrow, since I have to be up there anyway, will double check in person.

Looks like we are possibly getting a group of 20 or so adults and children to van up together to see it opening night. I cannot take total credit; evidently the trailers have had a LOT of kids asking their parents about it.

But I *am* feeling like SUCH an organizer. Yay. This is going to be fun.

I am just a little concerned about age recommendations, however. How young can the munchkins be, before it is going to be just TOO scary? Folks are asking....

At 11:43 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

um, that would be "up in Albuquerque."

SO this is a group of 20 plus people, willing to drive 70 miles.

Now, THAT's motivated!

Age depends on the children themselves. Some get scarred easily some not.

At 2:11 AM , Blogger Marjorie said...

WooT!! MAgic sniffage.

And poor Venus - she probaly resented the loss of dignity most. Tybalt fell into the Bath, once.. unfortunately I was in it at the time. But hardlyany ofthe scars were permanent. he didn't want anything to do with the hairdryer so towelled him off and popped him in the airing cupboard. A little later he discovered that there was a tinu gap in the floorboards in the cupboard and disappraered under the floor for about 3 hours. We could har him moving around the hosue, and I had visions of havingto take the whole floor up to get hi out, but he returned by himself in the end.

Lucky MN fiends! But Lousia & I are going to see it in Dublin (all being well - film fest isn't selling tickets until midnoght Monday) so apart from the meeting Q and other MN fiends I'm not too envious (Plus I get the meeting Louisa-Fiend, so you can be envious too!)

Q - I had the same problem with my picture - but after I cropped it it let me upload it.

Oh sure... I flee as ordered and miss all KINDS of things, including Magic! Harrumph.

Now I am in coffeeshop contemplating last night's printouts. (Not allowed to work in coffeeshops, doing it anyway. Don't tell my boss [who doesn't deserve a capital b, even if that wouldn't cause confusion with Boss].)

Son, not so much...he'd like it now, at 23, but not as a preteen.

And we have an 18 yr old, male, friend, who has already decided it will be too scary for him.

So the parents involved really should be the ones to judge.

Since my house is already overflowing with books (literally, they fall off shelves and attack us frequently) I have NO CLUE how to reclaim the floor of my kitchen.

My mother used to say she wanted to build a shed in the side yard, move into it, and use the house for storage...

But staying here won't help...
Later, dear fiends.

Boss's cat Zoe once got literally entombed in the floor when he was re-modeling the bathroom. She got in and was Very Quiet all day.

They sealed the floor but for one small peeky bit and went home for the weekend.

We complicated an ancient sacrifice thing, but in the end called the builders back.

Oops. Good Morning Fiends!

Mistress , we won't tell, but I seem to be OUT of tea here. Not good.

Magic, the little darling peed again. Guess it REALLY freaked him out poor guy. Moved getting the mattress cover to priority today.

At 8:11 AM , Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

AH, I see again how it is.

Me commenting on me. No good mornings for poor little wee'd on me?

At 8:18 AM , Blogger Jess said...

Good morning, Lorraine! \o/

Sorry about the pee-- I imagine it'ss worth it, though. Magic's doing some brave, difficult stuff! He's got the heart of a Leopard. :)

Poor Zoe. Why do they always go quiet like that? I once shut Edie in a closet for four hours, because I hadn't seen her sneak in while I was putting stuff away. Only discovered her because I woke around midnight to this soft, funny, pawing noise, like she was trying to open the door without disturbing us.

At 8:20 AM , Blogger Jess said...

Did you get my email, by the way? Na sent in a Night Garden poem. Let me know if you have trouble with the attachment-- I sent on the file she sent me, rather than paste it in.

At 8:25 AM , Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

I did get it, but opening it on this computer without tea is beyond me! Am going into work now and will do so!

Thanks Na!

Lovely news about Magic, baby leopard steps...!

On a completely unrelated topic, I noticed some appreciation of Mr David Tennant whilst I was lurking - thought some of you might want to sign up to this petition to ask the RSC to consider filming his Hamlet to release on DVD. I've signed it, but I was lucky enough to see it!

At 8:39 AM , Blogger spacedlaw said...

A very smelly morning to you!
What no TEA! Catastrophe! Call in the National Guards! The cavalry! Something must be done.

At 8:39 AM , Blogger Na said...

More Awwww. Go, Magic! But I don't mean on the futon. And sympathies for you, wee'd-upon FabLo. Pee happens! Part of rescuing kittehs.

Hope you like the poem. I am happy with it. It's been gestating for some time, and I had about forgotten it, but it decided to be written after all. Made my day, at any rate. And thanks Jess for coordinating Night Garden things.

Okay - now, I've checked, and I can safely say Happy Friday! Yes?

At 8:39 AM , Blogger spacedlaw said...

Oh and poor Zoe. You must have been looking for her for ages.

At 8:42 AM , Blogger Jess said...

Let me know if you need me to send a different fle format, Q.

At 8:43 AM , Blogger spacedlaw said...

Good heavens. I missread "gestate" for "gestalt" for a moment and thought these midnight garden things were going WAY too deep (and before tea too).
Maybe I need some gestalt therapy...

At 8:44 AM , Blogger Jess said...

There's a question: are Fiends becoming a Gestalt Entity? Quick, someone write a paper.

At 8:45 AM , Blogger spacedlaw said...

I'll ask my sister. It's her speciality.

At 8:51 AM , Blogger Na said...

Gestalt is one of those words I have to keep looking up... which amuses me, as I was once fluent in German.

At 8:58 AM , Blogger Na said...

Ooh, neat idea. Fiends as Gestalt Entity.
gestalt |gəˈ sh tält; -ˈ sh tôlt| (also Gestalt)
noun
an organized whole that is perceived as more than the sum of its parts.

Is it ironic that many of us are fascinated with things that seem bigger on the inside than the outside? *goes to check meaning of ironic*

I have to file for a business permit with the city, to do some editorial work I've been offered. It's been recommended I come up with a name for my "company" - my first smarty thought was "Fred".

At 9:14 AM , Blogger Phiala said...

Na, if you use your legal name there's usually less paperwork. At least in Pennsylvania, a DBA (Doing Business As) requires several annoying steps, including publication in local newspapers and legal journals.

At 9:16 AM , Blogger Jess said...

Phiala - I am glad to know that! (Also relieved to know I've been doing that bit right, at least, all along.)

At 9:35 AM , Blogger DataGoddess said...

I have a pantry shelf full of tea, I can try to send it down the wire, if that would help. Loose leaf or bag?

I'm feeling weird this morning - Husbeast is picking up the paperwork from the doctor for me to get a handicap hang-tag for the car. I want it because I can't walk very far without pain, but I hate needing it, you know?

Na, I think "Fred" is a lovely name for a company, so nice and friendly :-D

At 9:49 AM , Blogger ariandalen said...

Of course we've achieved gestalt. Did you really think I was kidding months ago when I questioned us getting together in June as reaching critical mass?
The Twin Cities will never be the same.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

At 9:53 AM , Blogger Na said...

Thanks DG. :) I think I understand what you feel about the hang-tag. But they exist just for people in your position.

Phiala, your recommendation echoes something the academic press lady said, and I think you may have just saved me a lot of trouble! So, many thanks!

At 9:57 AM , Blogger Na said...

Nuts, I don't think I expressed myself well there. DG, I totally get that you hate needing the placard. {{hugs}} But I hope having it helps you.

ariandalen, I think the Twin Cities might never be the same if you were there just on your own! But you won't be. w00t

Morning, Fiends!

My day off has started with my sleeping for 7 hours (which I rarely manage to to unless I'm sick), and my throat hurting. This does not bode well, so I will hunker down and try to only paint today.

Quiche, that's awesome about Magic saying hello! The peeing, not so much. The growing bond of trust is wonderful. Twitter will grow on you. Oh yes, it will. Perfect for small announcements when you don't have time for a proper blog.

Dan, glad the interview went well! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you (and for you as well, Lys).

Wish I could somehow warp time and space to come to Minneapolis on Monday, but alas, deadlines have other ideas. Maybe I will be lucky and there will be some event in LA. Although if they premiere it at the Fox theatre in Westwood like they did Beowulf, if the crew blocks off the Starbucks entrance next door again, there might be blood. Keeping me from coffee is unwise, and that's the closest one to my office (yards away).

Speaking of coffee, off to make some. Since I have no willing servants to make or fetch any, a source of eternal vexation.

I just want you all to know that I've conquered half of the mountain that is my laundry.

If I do nothing else this entire weekend, I will feel accomplished. *collapses*

At 10:33 AM , Blogger Na said...

El - congrats on getting your virtues washed!

Val, you need Asimo

At 10:37 AM , Blogger ariandalen said...

Na, I doubt that U pays well enough for the Dreaded One to afford an Asimo. At least, not unless she was in the Robotics/AI department.

And still I resist the lemming call of Twitter and Facebook!
Ha-HA!

At 10:39 AM , Blogger Na said...

Well, I just said she needed one. ;) And I stand with you in solidarity with respect to Twitter. At least so far. If FabLo dives back in...

Marjorie--his scars or yours? Presuming his were mental .... :)

Val--You are *that* close to the Westwood Fox? I used to practically LIVE there.....
Most fun sushi place close by...now there are probably dozens. Plus a building or two we use to climb. Don't know if you've ever met Chris Colquhoun...but in the 80s we figured with enough champagne, saki and sushi we could conquer any vertical surface in Westwood.
ah, memories...
BTW sending "clear path to coffee" thoughts towards your calendar.

DG-don't be so freakin' noble that you do not accept the help you deserve. This said with love! <3

At 11:11 AM , Blogger Marjorie said...

Lsyandwr - I was referring to mine. He may have permanant mental scars but i can't afford to have my cat psychoanlysed. He still likes to sit on the corner of the bath when I'm in it, so I assume he's over it!

Hellie - I've been to sign the petiton. Like you, I was lucky enough to see it live but it ought to be available more widely, too.

DG - so sorry to hear you have that pain, and I can understand not wanting to need the tag. (I don't actually have any constructive advice to offer, only sympathy)

Yes, we are Gestalt. we must be.

And also, for anyone who hasn't seen it via Twitter, you should go look at Nathalie's wonderful Other Poppet

Right. Gin.

Congrats on being Touched by Magic. (peed at, too, but that's not as poetical).

My kitties are entranced by the shower. Dulce has already fallen in once while I was in there and had to resist helping him scramble out. Usually they just stalk the edge of the tub.

At 1:54 PM , Blogger Phiala said...

Morgan is a shower cat. He awaits me on the bathmat, and slips in past my ankles as I emerge. A few minutes later (or many minutes), he will come out, damp and proud of himself.

This morning, he beat me into the shower stall. I'd left the glass door ajar, so Morgan squeezed in while I was brushing my teeth. He thumped around a bit (???), and Grendel came to investigate. The dog is disturbed by the whole idea of showers, where water FALLS ON PEOPLE AND DOGS, and will frequently lie on the bathmat so that he can make sure that I emerge safely.

The cat in the shower? That was a problem as well. Grendel nosed his way into the bathroom and whined. Morgan pranced out of the shower stall, bounced up to the dog, nosebumped him reassuringly, and pranced back into the shower.

Grendel was not reassured, merely further convinced that cats and people are very strange.

And... the backup I was waiting for is now done. (Not that I don't love y'all, but you don't get such chatty comments from work unless I'm waiting on something.)

oh wonderful fiends. it's a dreary rainy day here in lala land, but big boss man bought the whole office pizza for lunch, so all is good. this weather is reminding me i have an ankle that was broken several years back.

Mim loves the shower, Venus sits on the vanity and yowls. Go figure.

Magic was pretty nervous today, someone had Done Something to the futon, but he came out and ate and watched the feather tho didn't play much.

Beyond cold here and I am SO tired, last nights sleep was like the night before, not much of it, and wierd. Boss gets on a plane in an hour and then I am NAPPING!!!!!!!!!

At 2:47 PM , Blogger Dragonsally said...

Good morning peed upon Quiche.

Peeing is progress? yes?

Once Tysie spent the night in the space between the front door and the security door. She wasn't spotted when the door was closed and locked. I spent a very unsettled night upset because I couldn't find her. Luckily it was a mild night, and other than the indignity her adventure left her unharmed

At 2:47 PM , Blogger Rubius said...

happy napping L. I am sure you deserve it. sorry to hear about the uh... futon mishap. I am glad Magic is doing better with you. My cat seems happy to have a cat-flap and the war has abated in my house ... at least temporarily.

My roomie had to get a dog-flap for her cats as one is a little tubby and the other is large... like your King Lear... so the benefit is that the other cats now CANNOT invade my cat's space, which is good because they wouldn't stop invading otherwise... water spray bottle didn't even seem to work.

Unfortunately the cats had already been introduced under less-than-great circumstances... I found LaMie a month before I came to meet you in Baltimore and I didn't know if I was still going to find the previous owners and she didn't have her shots so she couldn't stay in a a pet-motel.. so she had to stay with my friend (whom I am now living with) and that visit and another one afterward meant that the cats already knew and didn't like each other very much before we all moved in together. The introduction was kind of screwed from the beginning... and we don't have THAT large of a place that we can conveniently isolate them (otherwise NONE of us would be sleeping AT ALL). Hopefully all will cool off now that the door is installed. The other cats are acclimatizing and I am hoping Lamie will chill soon too.

At 2:51 PM , Blogger Rubius said...

oh.. and on the subject of Twitter... I am not a twitterette yet... I am not online enough to warrant it, I think. Is it useful if you only check it every day or so? ... or is it something that you really should be checking regularly since it just builds up if you don't?

Twits? What do you think?

At 3:01 PM , Blogger Arwenn said...

I am on and off twitter, it's kinda like here - you miss things if you stay away but there's no harm in just skipping a couple of days. The thing I really, really like about twitter is that people have chosen to follow me so I feel much more comfortable babbling about minutiae of my life. Here, since all kinds of people are watching, I tend to only post if I have something to contribute.

Naps are good; only 30 minutes more to wait.

::sigh:: I'm going to have to make an appointment with my optometrist. My right eye is so out of whack that I will get a headache from trying to focus while wearing glasses, though not as much with contacts on. :P

Yay! Rain in LA! Could you send some to Texas?

Naps rule. Tho now I have nap-head. May take me a bit to get caught up on sleep I am thinking, but I slept solidly, which I needed.

Lear and Ma declined to sleep with me, but then again, no one peed on me.

At 5:18 PM , Blogger EmilyLady said...

Naps are great things. I do find myself feeling sicker after a sick-nap, though.

Will and I are almost finished with Coraline. He has finally admitted that the other mother is creepy, having, until this point, refused to say anything along these lines in obvious fear that I would think him too sensitive to see the film. See, I'm the one who keeps saying, "William, remember that Coraline can be REALLY CREEPY", and he likes to say, "Oh, please, I THINK I can handle it", and today he finally confessed that, yes, the other mother is indeed a little on the scary side.

Oh thank you Rubius - I had not checked Ms. Snellings' blog so recently. Aleta - a little over five days for the auction on Ms Curie. That's time for you to, oh I don't know - knock over a bank or something... ;) She is amazing.

I just napped a little accidentally. Told my family I was cranky and needed to sit quietly for a bit and read. The book is due to the library tomorrow. But I fell asleep instead.
