Beasties and Yet More Beasties....

I managed to borrow a camera, but sadly (what IS it with me???) yes, it ran out of charge, but not before I got a few shots....

It is hard, if you have no photography skills, to take good pictures of cats who don't sit still, but here are a few I hope you enjoy.

First, let's meet Jungle Love One and Jungle Love Two. I cleverly shot them while they ate. They do let me pet them too, while they are eating and don't hide anymore when I am in there. Progress.

Don't they look SO sweet? Just like they are regular cats or something? Do not, my friends, be fooled for a moment. THIS is what I go home to every night....I do not want to know what Jungle Love 2 really is.

And here is Mim coming to kill me. No, my dears, I do not sleep easy at night.

And Freaky Venus, waiting patiently for her dinner. Heh. Positioned nicely between the Skull Fountain and the Knives.

And finally, as it is late, and my candles are burning low, here at the Spooky House, Mim and her new favourite toy...She must stay fit. They must be ready when their time comes.

I will be ready too. To join them.

Love and Beasties,
Lorraine

They are so beautiful! I can't wait for Big Video Making Time. Last night Coey was showing off one of her new crazy fancy wild lasers and OHHHHHH the possibilities!!!!

That wheel is so cool. I think I would like one people sized. More fun that a tread mill. Maybe not really -- I would fall flat on my face I am sure. But the idea of it is fun!

The vid will be very, very cool. Especially if we use, as a soundtrack, The Fox, perhaps???

A people sized wheel would be nice...Worth a few falls, I am thinking. Mim sure has fun.

I wonder i Zombie Bug Master Danguy is in contact with the Bengals, and if that might not be the real reason he is coming out here for a "Computer Conference"...

At 9:08 PM , Blogger AletaMay said...

Oh yeah -- Danguy is pulling the strings for sure. I think there is a big connection between between the Zombie Bugs and the Bengals. It may be that the Zombie Bugs distract us while the Bengals take over. Yup.

Soundtrack is a must and YOU are the music person. I think that should be in your hands.

Me and Malena are the music people. If we had HER in the vid...Oh, yes, You Tube thru the ROOF. At least we will have her singing, one of her best tricks, singing.

Tis a trick you do pretty well yourself you know. What devilishly cute kits. I too love this wheel thing.

It looks like they are warming up to you. Can you pet them yet? Have you tried catnip on J1 and J2? It is remarkable how much that can make a difference for a shy cat.

Love Venus's position... but wow.. Mim is growing fast!!

Wow! Talk about your Royal Treatment! Are those cats eating off china plates? I my next life let me come back as one of your cats! Love the hamster wheel! May I ask, what brand of cat food do you feed them?

Mim looks like she was gonna climb you..is she still doing that?
Looks like she really likes the wheel..she must really zip along to get that far up the side of it.

Are you sure you don't have any ghostly "critters" in the Spooky House that drain all your batteries?
(Just kidding;)

I imagine with 4 bengals, it must be like trying to photograph 4 bouncing superballs as they ricochet around and off each other (and you.:)

If Dan is communicating with the Bengals, then you better not leave your computer alone with them or they'll end up with their own website;)

Oh the cats are beautiful, and the wheel is amazing! Yes, "the Fox" would be a great soundtrack for the video. Too bad a generator doesn't attach to the wheel to power up a fan, (or maybe a camera). Honestly, something Spooky is messing with you and cameras, you need to appeal to the spirits dwelling there as to why they don't want you taking pictures. or maybe its the bengals controlling it all, perhaps they're camera shy. When Dan comes out, perhaps he can mediate between you and them?

How has weather been for everyone? summer has blasted into being here - 60 two days ago, 90 today, with violent t-storms predicted. Can i have a group appeal for NoRainOnSaturday as it is the grad open house and the tent is fragile - wish youse guys :) could all come! Even better would be if you and Paul and Malena could play and sing, ahhh, now THAT would be a party.

In that third picture, Jungle Love 2 is very clearly saying, "I did some googling today, and discovered that you taste like chicken. Sleep well tonight, my good and faithful servant."

You and Malena are such a pair! You're the only two people I know who have lives in which it is unextraordinary to say something like, "between the Skull Fountain and the Knives".

As long as you can convince the cats that you are QUEEN, I'm all for the Bengal Cat revolution. :-) And they are so beautiful. I have a 16-year-old "domestic" (doesn't that just mean "mutt" in cat speak?) orange tabby who is so laid back, he will watch the backyard 'possum eat out of his bowl and do *nothing* about it. I can hardly imagine how I would live, as you do with such elan and coolness, amongst such wild childs! But again, so much beauty...

Pretty kitties!

Notice, I didn't say tame, just pretty. :)
Triple M sure has grown! Venus has patience? My non-Bengal gets to where he demands food. "MAO!" Granted, he also tells me when he wants me to go to bed, though he doesn't get as obnoxious as when he wants fresh food.

Even without bees, or exploding beef, I can see it's never a dull moment at your house.

The Jungle Loves are gorgeous! Just like their master, Dan Guy, they look sweet on the outside… but are secretly plotting world domination. ;) Venus and Mim look so intent on everything. Which I suppose is Looking. The cat video with laser beams and the wheel is going to be… well, something, I'm sure. ;)

Ivenotime, the weather here is supposed to hit the mid-70s. From my office, the sun is hitting the travertine marble of the Getty on the hill, and making it glow. I found this view much less spectacular last night, when I was here at 11 o'clock, having had to come back in.

Ahem. Getting past the shock, the cats are quite pretty. All I meant was, I am so glad I don't have any.

Nothing quite like a steady amount of besties to keep a contended smile on one's face. Thanks for the treat.
Glad to see that a few moths later (because strangely enough it is only a few months later - it feels like much more) Mimsy is still the same and Venus just as Venusy as wheen we were there.
I need one of those wheels for Nanocat.

Speaking of skulls, I saw some strange skeleton angels today - way too cool - and (of course) thought of you.

The Zombie Bug - Demon Bengal alliance is the product of much blood, sweat, and tears by many professional mediators. Those sweaty, hemophiliac, cry-babies will be sorely missed by their families.

Once we'd sacrificed enough of them, though, the writing was on the wall. Seven coats of paint later, the bloody letters were still seeping through, so we knocked down the wall in order to maintain operational secrecy.

The voodo bugs wanted such a little thing, really, such a concession will be hardly noticeable when you're busy ruling the world. The Bengals, on the other hand, had more lavish and more numerous demands...

Ah Danth, you are too much.

Somebody special has a birthday coming up. A certain Angel in evil clothing.

Surely this can not be a coincidence, but the lead article in this weeks Onion is titled as follows, "Escaped Caterpillar On Rampage Through City." I think, perhaps, that the zombie portion of it was kept under wraps as to not induce wide-spread pandemonium.

Dan guy, I think you may have explained the last apartment I rented...

oops... I too did the wrong ID this time... VCON was meant to be from Rubius.

Paul... that is too funny. Imagine the widespread panic indeed.

Gods! I so want to be in on this! Just got 4 seconds to read thru everything and I am laughing, I could add a lot of wit to this festival of wit...

...If I wasn't an insane busy assistant girl trying desperately to get out of here in time to make my gig.

Tell me more funny things to come home to late tonight....I'm off to do that music thing.

There's a My Little Pony convention: http://www.mlpfair.com/

I suspect there are many two-legged zombies in attendance.

You know, after some thought… it's not fair to leave Cabal out of this. I want to be part of Cabal's Cabal, secretly plotting the downfall of the Zombie Bugs - Demon Bengal Alliance!

Our first step will be perfecting Quivering when we spot a member of the ZBDBA. After that… well, it's secret, isn't it?

VOODO WASP OVERQUEEN: Yezzzz, the Cabal Cabal muzzzzt be dealt with... Nazzzzty brute, with hizzz munchingzz and crunchingzz of our bee brethren... They shall be avenged!!!!!!!! Yezzzz.......

Okay, so the now I am picturing Zaa Zaa Gabor in a bee outfit. "Come herezzz my darlink." Okay, perhaps it is the whiskey talking, but Lorraine and I are at the gig and I just finished a flyer for our recording at Charlie's.

Lorraine says it's time to get back to rock and to leave the silly computer alone now. *sigh*

TIME TO ROCKETH!

At 7:24 PM , Blogger Dan Guy said...

They are grim taskmasters, but I've got their number. You've got to know how to speak their language. (It's all in the pheromones. And the gift baskets of assorted jellies.)

I'm watching "Three Days of the Condor". Ye gads Faye Dunaway was young thirty-three years ago! She looks surprisingly like Julia Stiles.

Rockth indeedth!!!!! Lots of people, Elizabeth from Dreamhaven has FINALLY re-surfaced.

I like this Wifi verywhere! Gig blogging!

Just got an e-mail on my Blackberry that starts out CLEAN CLEAN DOCUMENT EMAIL FALSE FALSE FALSE, then goes on, Hi Lorraine...

It's from someone I know. What does this mean? Have I recieved a Coded Message from the Voodoo Bug Master???

It's kind of dark to type, and people are LOOKING at me, as if they want less blogging and more rock....Back to work...

At 8:30 PM , Blogger AletaMay said...

Gig blogging! Crazy modern world.

We'll have to check out Kip's sometime. Looks like a fun place.

That email is clearly from the Bengals. They are testing their limits while you are out of the house.

At 10:59 PM , Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Oddly enough, the email was from the Breeder who gave me Mim, she and I have stayed in touch and have become friends.

(a very good home for Bengal kittens, for anyone considering one, and don't forget tho all the Bengals waiting for home thru the rescue group...)

Great gig, we did a couple new songs, and I mean new as in I'd never heard them before, and we had a lot of fun...

Sleep now..Yes..with Bengals...

At 4:58 AM , Blogger Malena said...

Madame Malena Mim has an M on her head! Dev, we have a connection to cat heaven. Well, YOU especially. I tend to charm snakes and spiders...But there is NOTHING like a furry cuddley creature to come home to.

At 7:14 AM , Blogger spacedlaw said...

And four of them cuddly furry thingies is even better!

Hot here. Did bee things. Hotter still in a bee suit.

If I don't take a shower before my gig, Paul will not want to sit with me.

I'll try and do a post before I go, if only so one doesn't have to scroll so far down to get to the gig blogging posts tonight.

( I say that like I am sure none of you have anything better to do than hang out at home, waiting for me to post from my gig! EGO!)

Sue, did you have your party and did it rain???
