Too Tired To Think of a Title

I am liking this fitness thing. I am so tired there is no possibility of getting to the kitchen to find anything bad to eat, and the phone is in my purse, also in the kitchen so I can't call for anything. Of course, my beds are upstaires, and I don't think I can make it that far either, but if I do, I sure won't be coming back down.

It feels good.

Eat less. Move more. So simple.

I was thinking today, we had the cat Zoe who went to someone for a bit and came back looking like a Hummer. I put her on a diet, measured out her special food, and now, six months later, she has lost three pounds, a quarter of her body weight. That's like a 200 pound women losing 50 pounds.

I am trying to figure out food for the Bengals, all natural, pure food, in it's most basic state. And I spent over $400 on a Cat Wheel, so they could get some excersize.

The Dog gets his food weighed out, 2 pounds of raw meat a day, and he has a trainer, and a dog walker who comes for an hour, twice a day.

I'm like the fitness consultant for all these Beasties.

Do I love myself less? It's something to think about, isn't it?

Tonight Cabel and I started his Agility Classes. (otherwise known as Boot Camp for Owners) The dogs have to complete a course, full of jumps, tunnels, things they climb ect. WITH the owners running along besdie them. The faster the better.

This can't be bad for me, tho when I realized, after dropping the dog off at his place, that I still needed to bike to mine, I had a small sinking feeling.

Made it up one of the Evil Hills tho.

Feels good.

Love and movement,
Lorraine

Girl! You are movin and a shaken. Feeling good about yourself no matter what size you are is the best medicine.
Keeping up with THAT dog would be a challenge.

I've found no matter what size you are, you feel the same inside. It's the insides that need love and attention. Then the outside will follow because you will have the self love, the drive to do anything!

ahh my ladies.
yes, it is true. i find, look people in the eye, speak from your heart & the rest takes care of itself.
for example:
You know how a gorgeous man that is ignorant soon loses his shine in your eye? or a spectacularly witty man without all the bells and whistles soon becomes so very goodlooking? 'Tis true! it happens!

ok, so here is a shameless plug brought to you by L'aM corp, come visit Kitty (the person not the Q. bee)
in BALTIMORE @ Balticon. only i forget how to make the link live (DOH!) www.balticon.org
because i shall be lonely without anyone to play with. is Lisa coming? anyone? hello????
read about it on my

Cool, one hill conquered, the rest will come soon. Agility classes! I have been considering that for my dog too, thought it would be great fun and good exercise for both of us. It's hard to keep corgis slim, they are walking stomachs. Good for Zoe - so much healthier for her. Oh, Kitty, have fun in baltimore - hope your trip is great, and wish I could be there, was such fun a few years back! All the senior stuff for my daughter starts this weekend, so I will be here in Michigan feeling rather sad.

Spot on, Malena! Exercise has this magic about it that makes you really feel wonderful even if your scale number doesn't change. And I love the feeling of being exhausted after exercise (unless there's something strenuous to do afterwards).

Along the same lines of being the fitness consultant for the Beasties… You know, some of the best advice I ever got was to think of how I would treat someone I cared about if they were going through whatever horrid situation I'd landed myself in -- then to treat myself the same way. It was like I'd discovered fire. ;)

Malena, you are awesome!

Hurray for making it up one of the Evil Hills!

Re: natural food for the Bengals… there's a brand of natural food for cats and dogs from New Zealand, my ex-husband from NZ turned me on to -- which is basically human-grade organic, hormone- and antibiotic-free raw food from NZ, frozen into convenient tubes for shipping, and you thaw it, then slice off what your Beastie needs. I like it because I don't have time to do the raw food diet for my Beasts from scratch, and it's good enough that I could eat it. (Well, if I were desperate; I'm not a fan of the taste myself.) I get mine from Whole Foods, but I've seen it other places, too.

Good on you!
(Does the agility class involves handling PVC tubes without knocking one's owner about with it?)
Hugs.

It is true, if someone is lovely, but there isn't anything there, it is not attractive.

I had a friend once who fell in love with a writer (not my Boss, for the record) who, looking at, you would not think much of, but she said to me "How could I not love someone who writes words like that?" WHich I think is true. The person, not the package.

That said. I am really looking forward to being HOT, and well, yes, I'm pretty hot now, but the kind of hot which comes from knowing you've Done Something. And the feeling you get when you have to say, darn , I always likes these jeans, and now they are too big.

Kind of personal satisfaction hot.

Got up early rode my bike to work. This is a bigger deal when you have to be in at 6:30AM for an airport run, than when you have to be in by 10:00am.

Thanks for the Bengal food links. I'll post more about the little fiends soon.

Gig tonight.

Cool.

Oh, I go indeed. Got the transcribing done, took the dog for a run, then biked home.

Now I have to decide the just exactly perfect thing to wear to my gig tonight.

Oh! Look! I seem to be wearing it. ALL the top glamour Irish Rock Stars are wearing capri sweat pants and sleeveless baby doll tops.

Excellent.

Here's to rocking tonight!

And the Cat Wheel came! It did not, sadly, come put together. An adventure for another day.

Wow, 6:30 a.m.!!! That's serious dedication to the job. (Surely there's a medal of some sort for you somewhere, right?) Wishing I could be at your gig tonight, but you're several states away, sigh. I didn't exercise per se today. Instead I took three dogs and one cat to the vet. Now my arms hurt, but it's good. :-)

Hope the gig is going well! What a long day you've had!

I had drinks this evening with the Laser Pointer Queen. We plotted a bit about Bengal Videos. :rubs hands together:

Lorraine, if you feel hot, you look hot: it's very much how you are looking at yourself...

As for Kitty saying "You know how a gorgeous man that is ignorant soon loses his shine in your eye? or a spectacularly witty man without all the bells and whistles soon becomes so very goodlooking?", well that reminded me of what I was telling you some week ago about men reading books being sexy (even if just carved in marble on a tombstone...). And yes, most of the charms of a writer are the words (I never look at their pictures).
