Gigs and kitties

How fabulous was the Fabulous Lorraine on her birthday I hear you ask?
Well. LOTS.
In fact she was pretty hot and the crowd at Charlie's would certainly support my statement.
But just don't take my word for it, check out the birthday girl:

Mind you I must say she was well supported by Adam and Johnny, two strapping fellow who had the audience in stitches with their naughty banter. I confess I woke up the morning after with a bad case of giggles just recalling their Scottish version of "Stairway to Heaven".
I wish I had had a video camera to take this piece of anthology...
But let me introduce you to the boys:
Adam:
And Johnny:

Meanwhile, at Lorraine's house the kitties are oscilating between sheer attacks of cuteness:

Or mischief ...
Ah yes, dear Rubius, she was quite determined to take care of that sandwich for you...

And then there was Paul on saturday, very tired but good fun and I got Frère Jacques'ed to death...

Oh and I forgot to show you the birthday cake!

But I am telling you guys, I am SO not eating at that place on Wednesday or Saturday....

It was , truly, a wonderful B'day week! I am quite certain that I have many fine stories for you, and just as certain that I will need some more sleep before I can do so..

Many more pics too, thanks to Spacelaw and Rubious....

Ack. My poor fingers. So much rock.

And so much worth it.

Look at my Mim in her pink claws. (can't wait till she is old enough to wear RED) I am missing you girls. David is coming over to look at the photos. eeeeeeeeee!
Adam and Johnny can make ME pee my pants in inapropriate laughter. Let me tell you how it is in the studio...well, let's just say I got an education and totally forgot I had to sing they were so funny.

Fablo, should we tell them the "straight jacket story"?
It's blog of it's own, trust me...

Happiest of Birthdays!

Dang - I want to hear the Scottish version of Stairway to Heaven.

I like the idea of "birthday week". I suspect part of my birthday week will be spent demolishing my old bath. Hurrah!

Ms. Lorraine, you make one stunning birthday girl! The kittens are, as always just so cute! How do you get them to be still long enough to paint their toe nails? NOT, a Disney Princess fan AT ALL! I once worked at the park and they wanted me to be their Snow White but thank goodness I was to short for the role. You see, I was so small I was dwarfed by the dwarfs!

Yeah, now I wanna hear the Scottish version of Stairway to Heaven.

And OH that picture of Mim is tooth-achingly cute. (I totally "awww"-ed out loud;)

Wish I could've been there..it looks like a grand time was had by all.

Yes, my dear Malena, OF COURSE, I saved you Belle, yr favourite, she will be on her way with some Belated V-day Spiders tomorrow!!! It will be like you were there with us!

( we ate all the cake tho! I loved that cake, so pretty! )

Isn't that picture of Mim WAY too cute??? Nathilie is the BEST photographer...I have LOTS now....

I will pass on this Stairway to Heavan Request, there is there is a way.....It is truly, er, something you have never heard before. As Nathilie said " I never saw that one coming..."

And oh, as far as painting Kitties Nails, it's easy....They don't really sit still so, what you do is replace the WATER in their bowls with Irish Whiskey, for a couple of days...By the second day they are pretty drunk, and it's easy to do whatever you want with them.

( they tend to get pretty wild, then maudlin before passing out, tho, but if you can get thru that bit...)

Remember when we were in the studio and we were recording that trad song that never made it on the album (due to Me, Johnny and Adam's pure FILTH?)About the insane asylum?

You think that trick will work on my dog stanzi Lorraine? You are so SO funny!

Miles is demolishing our old bathroom right now. It will look good WHEN it's done.

And, oh , Malena, you can't give dogs whiskey, you dork, it would be so bad for them. Stanzi is from eastern europe , you need to go with Vodka. Our dog loves it.

cute cake! cuter kitties! love the nails, have often considered painting my dog Tank's nails, as his are lovely and long, wonder how he feels about scotch? hmmm, what do the Welsh drink?

Sue, The Welsh drink Beer...And a Strange Welsh Drink that is spelled like this:jehwifehfuiwvibuwblwuhvruvbhuwqbchdwcbh

But is pronounced " WOW "

Hera being from Iceland, and now living in New Zealand alternates between Absinthe and Rum.

Beer I can do - here we go Tankie! We got 15 inches of snow last night and I just got in from 2.5 hours of shoveling/snowthrowing. I could seriously use some welsh "wow". or some scotch.. darn, it's only 11:30 am.... banging head against wall rapidly...

The Welsh drink metheglyn, or used to in the Middle Ages. It is a mead made with herbs and spices good for all sorts of ills. :)

Kitty, we can't HELP it, they take my car keys when I am asleep and raid the liquor stores....Don't tell me Batman doesn't indulge sometimes, and Mr Kitty????? All that walking around on the roof and skunk chasing can't be sober....

No Fosters yet, which is good, that means there is not a need for one, as I am next in line....

Methaglyn. That's it. Sue, get some ancient mead...

I solved my snow problem, tho it was lovely having Rubious here, the girl is a demon with a shovel, but I have hired a young man with nothing better to do after school to come and do it....I am too sleepy in the mornings, and it is too cold and dark by the time I get home...

Hey! Thanks for stealing all the credit on the Whiskey Bit. That WAS My Idea, remember?? I was just so impressed at how well it works!

I love your cake!! After all If we lose our imagination, we couldn't be clever with the kitties! Hee Hee! Disney Babes Rock!
I preffer to think of myself as kind of a cinderella eh, Go figure! LOL

I stole Ariel, she is my favourite. I used to sing Lil Mermaid songs all the time.

Love the sign, Nathalie.

I'm singing Flash Girls and LaM now.

I had so much fun visiting with you Lorraine it was undescribable!!! and then I got home and my best friend had done a 'while you were out' mixed with a 'clean sweep' on my apartment... organized, cleaned, got rid of allergens, fixed stuff, and gave me all new shelving, hanging baskets, a pantry, a massage unit for a chair, new pillows, baskets, tubs, filing units... it goes on... and we repotted a bundle of plants yesterday... I feel very pampered... and very lucky in my friends. Thank you all.

Rubius, how lovely! I'm glad you had a wonderful time visiting Lorraine, a good trip home, and then such a wonderful surprise at your home - how sweet of your friend. Natalie, your pics have been great, hope your flight home was smooth sailing, and you don't have too much jet lag to deal with - how much time difference is there?

Yes I have decided I need mead. I have held strong and not imbibed scotch or beer yet today THO it is still snowing with another blast coming this evening. i have been sorely tempted to share some with Tank. We could have a singalong, but Kitty says no alcohol to pets. sigh. Yes Lorraine you have the right idea - I don't mind cleaning up snow but it has been ridiculous this year - my drifts are now higher than i can shovel to, and we have, no kidding, 36 inches in the yard which does not include the drifts. Hera, did you say you miss snow? I could send you lots....

And here I am, from out of space...
What a trip!
Thanks to Lorraine and her amazingly funny (and gifted friends) and to sweet Rubius for a wonderful time.
Now my system does not know whether it should scream "Party!" or tell me to go to bed (6 hours difference, Ivenotime) as jet lag and counter jet lag are fighting over what is left of my brain (There must have been zombies ont he plane).

I found a great shop in Amsterdam that you would LOVE Lorraine. It is called The Dungeon and it is a horror shop!
They have a skeleton in a cage as their outdoor sign... (of course,I took a picture!)
