Ladyhawk and Nocturna

Mwuuuaaaa ha ha ha!! I can be persuasive. Oh yes, my LaMie friends, Malena got off with just a brace. I told the Dr. about all our performances. I reminded him a little pain is worth being able to wear my japanese drag queeen coat. Trust me on this. So, he said to come back in a week and to be "gentle" on my wrist. Guess doing the tango is out, hiking in the park is out. Singing and practicing are in though. .Resting.... Hmmm, we'll see how that goes. Hey! The brace will inspire many new wristband designs for my Alter Ego Fashion Line. I'll have Miles paint it for me. I told my daughter it
was my "Laura Croft Superhero Laser shooting power glove." I've got the moves baby. Poor Lorraine has had to watch me dance around the house only to hobble to bed...not remembering I've got 2 broken bones. All together now, Sing it! Ain't nothin gonna hold me down, oh no I gotta keep on moven.." Needless to say I'm feeling better. The above photo was taken in the parking lot of the Dr.'s office. Snazzy, Silly, Sickly? Maybe just a little. We're having a blast...Now back to you Fablo!!

Hmmmm, me eh? It MIGHT be kind of late for poor Ladyhawk who has had her first expierence drving around LA these days A Little different than I am used to but I seem to be adapting well. Malena is singing to now, she practices more than anyone I know, with the possible exception of Mr Paul Score. That guy is ALWAYS playing, we are so going to have some fun in a few weeks!

( sooner if you live in Minneapolis...Tho I can't for the life of me remember when next I play, LA does that to you. )

Ok, Malena is singing some more, and I want nothing more than to listen to this and drift off to sleep when I can no longer keep my little eyes open. Hey, I bought 5 pairs of shoes today, ACCIDENTALY!!!!!

And drove the LA freeways, all in a very good cause. Thanks be all will be well,

Love and splints,
Lorraine a' Malena

5 pairs of shoes? That's my kind of shopping... Sadly I have far, far too many shoes already.

Anything that inspires wristband designs can't be all bad - I'm waiting to see your wristband goodness. (The postage on those couldn't be too expensive, could it?)

Glad the life-force has returned to Malena, anyway.

You both look marvelous! I'm glad to hear that the injuries haven't dampened Malena's spirit. And yay for feling better and for getting a brace! Go easy and don't over-exert yourself.

How do you accidently buy five pairs of shoes? Heh. I guess I DID accidently buy a goth top the other week, so maybe I'm starting to understand this shopping things a little better. Crossdressing as a path to mutual understanding and appreciation of the sexes.

I wish Malena's abundance of practice would rub off on my daughter.

Yet another lovely pic.

heh, i wish Malena's goth girly ways would rub off on your daughter, Vanda!

So glad to see those smiling faces... and yeah!!! for the brace. I am sure that if anyone could spiffify an arm brace... it would be Mahvalous Malena. I love the 'Laura Croft superhero laser shooting power glove" that is great!!!

what a lovely image... drifting off to Malena's exquisite voice.

As far as shoes... I am sure you deserve them. Accidentally or not. enjoy the shoe-goodness.

Good Grief!!! I go off to belly dance camp for the (long) weekend, and broken bones happen! :P Glad you're doing better, and that you have thus far avoided a cast. You might want to get an inflatable donut pillow for your tailbone, if you haven't already. It will allow you to sit without putting any weight on your tailbone. You'll probably have to ask at a pharmacy or medical supply place.

Sure puts having to drive in a hailstorm, then being awoken by another one roughly 12 hours later in perspective.

Glad to hear things are looking up - heal quick1y and have fun decorating your brace! Aaahhh, shoes, I love shoes......

I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better Malena. (Heck you're probably bouncing off the walls with all the energy we're all sending you;) Just be careful and get SOME rest (I know, expecting a gemini to hold still is kinda silly.)

Lorraine that's my kind of "accident"! One can't be expected to wear ONE pair of sandals all spring and summer, y'know. *lol* And you drove the gauntlet that is LA freeways-congratulations! I can drive in Chicago, but LA's freeway system scares me.

ps. Ariandalen did you just sneak off to Tribal Camp with Jill Parker? I luvs me some Ultra Gypsy.

At 4:47 PM , Blogger ariandalen said...

Yes, yes I did! I'm one sore Tramp! And this is Tuesday. Jill is really nice. Sunday morning she showed us rough footage of Ultra Gypsy's lastest production, I think. She said that it was just the one performance and still a work in progress.
Bahaia is planning another one, next year in April, and she has 12 month and 6 month payment plans. She hasn't lined up Guest(s) yet, but it really is worth it. If you want to know more, email me at rowane at hot dot rr dot com.

Oooh, I need to buy some of your jewelry, Kat.

Heh, Ravyn, you know my daughter is a japanese boy.

A friend of mine runs a belly dance class on Wednesdays. I just don't have time for it, but she recommends shimmy bliss for belly dancing supplies. Their ebay store is really nice.

Kitty-Wow! Congratulations indeed on getting to make sparklies for Miss Madge.:) I can't wait to see those pictures.

Indeed, too cool Miss Kitty!

Never got into the shoe collecting thing myself - but then, I'm broke and my taste tends to run in the New Rock boot line, which means I have no choice but to only buy them when I pretty much need them. :)

Speaking of shoes, I've decided there's either something wrong with my feet or my brain (probably both), as I went to a wedding the other day and after standing/walking around in them all day I decided that my high heels are more comfortable on me than my cushy flats. Huh?

At 4:21 AM , Blogger vandaluna said...

Hey MM...
I know what you mean!
I wear flats and I feel like my feet are banging the ground, but give me a couple inches and I'm comfortable.
Either that or a good supportive sole.

now, is it just me, or has there been more spam blog ads recently than there were before? this askinstoo has the same ad at the end of many of the recent blog entries.

any chance for a webcast while you lovely ladies are together?

hope the healing is going well. wishing you all the best

Hee...
I've eaten thing like that.

There is a great Japanese store off Bradley Blvd. across from Bradley Food and Beverage called something like Darhuma which sells wonderful Japanese goodies. I spend ALOT of money there when I'm in town...the child loves the Sakura Mochi and the Ramune.

At 5:42 AM , Blogger Dan Guy said...

Oh yes, we must see the new shoes, LoLo!

I'm working on a LaMie forum here. I haven't applied a suitable "Ladyhawke and Nocturna" theme to it yet or built out the various categories of possible conversation, but there is a thread in general in which I've been agonizing over my hair for the past week. ^_^

Kitty :: If you ever need any web-help, you know where to find me. I am always happy to spare someone from the ravages of Microsoft FrontPage.

I can't wait to see pics of Madonna adorned. Go Kitty!

At 1:22 PM , Blogger Rubius said...

Ah, Danth, I am right there with you... checking the site regularly... here I am on my miniscule lunch break... checking to see if any of the wonderful people on here have anything new to say.

Nice Forum... and... btw... I am sure your hair will look just lovely... whatever you do with it.

At 8:12 PM , Blogger vandaluna said...

hey danth, do you have access to the username/password logs?
I can't remember my password. It doesn't seem to be my normal password. Please let me know. :-)

The child got a ball python today. She is thinking of naming it Orochi or someother name that mean "snake child" in Japanese. We've been calling it Snakie 42, since, according to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, 42 is the meaning of life.

I suggested we could name it Dobiko after a favorite sushi of ours, and the huzbin suggested Donut after the shape on its body.

Malena, what kind of tarantula did you get? That was the other pet the child wanted but only dull looking ones were available in PCB. She wanted a Mexican Firelegs.

At 12:07 PM , Blogger mistress mousey said...

Well, technically it's not so much the meaning of life (that's more Monty Python territory) as it is the answer to life, the universe and everything.

Of course, if you want to know the question, you'll have to ask the mice... which kind of brings me to my opinion that with mice running the world, isn't it a bit cruel to name a snake "42"?

(why yes, I am a dork. why do you ask?)

At 6:05 PM , Blogger vandaluna said...

Wow! That certainly is an analysis. hehehe.
But cruel? That is an opinion. If one assumes it is cruel, then one is saying the mice as leaders are good. Maybe the mice as leaders are a bad thing and therefore snakie 42 is a savior. Or, maybe, just maybe, snakie 42 is a rebel! A defiant creature with a mind of his own who only wishes for all creatures to think for themselves. Here, have an apple. ::snicker::

Okay, everyone can be a bit of a dork from time to time, but it's all in fun. :-)

it has been pretty quiet here lately so I will throw in a random post...in remembrance of Lorraine's posting of a while back... MY TAXES ARE DONE!!!! WHHHEEEE WHOOOOOOO!!!... note... today is May 1st... and it is only by the generosity of our government that I shouldn't be considered late.... since the 30th was on a weekend and all. YEAH!!! ... not only my taxes... but the gawd-awe-full Tax remittance for my boss's company are done!!! yeah... again at the last possible moment... calling my boss at the bank 5 minutes before the bank closes to give him final numbers... did I ever mention how much I hate last minute scrambling? phew... glad that's over.

... now on to... last minute costume and art creation for Balticon!!!

oh... and yes... 42 rules... life, the universe and everything.

At 7:56 PM , Blogger vandaluna said...

Heh, taxes...what fun.
If mine were complicated I'd hire someone. A friend called me today to ask if she should pay $8.50 for a comfirmation that she paid her business taxes on time. For $8.50 I would sleep more soundly.

Better stuff...another friend told me about "Lip Fusion" lip plumper, given the good housekeeping seal of approval. Bought some off ebay today. Cosmetics have sure improved in the past decade!

Anyone like pool? Love that game. Beat a couple people tonight! I always refuse the free drinks for being the winner. Ravyn and I played pool on an occasion...that was the cutest I've ever seen her, bending over a pool table in a victoria's sekwit dress.
