Gig Tonight
A sad thing...Steve Mulligan's ( from the Tim Malloys ) brother died today in a car accident. We send Steve our heartfelt sympathies to him and to his family.
The upshot of this is that I will be playing with the Malloy's tonight at the Half Time Rec in St Paul, from 9:30 to 1:00am. If you see this in time and are free tonight, come down and have a pint for Steve, and we will play you some of the finest Wild Irish Music going.
The other Malloys , for those of you who are new to this gang , are Adam Stemple, producer for MIRROR MIRROR and , John " Big Sexy " Sjogren , who also comes along for a song or two on the cd.

it is me, home home HOME from tour.
so sorry to hear about the car crash, wish there was some magic way of dealing with loss, but truly, time and thought are the only healers.
it is rainy here in Hollywood, so i am going to go back to sleep and dissolve the last three months of workworkwork. tommy and the crue gave me a huge batch of fireworks for my birthday which was also the last night of the tour) and we went spark-crazy.

That's so sad. I hope the gig goes really well in his memory.
Malena -- I was just watching "Pirates of the Caribbean" (it's my ultimate cheer-me-up feelgood film). Duly cheered up, idly watching the credits (and waiting for the monkey) a name I knew suddenly jumped out at me - Mr Gorgeous, Conceptual Artist!
I have such a non-Hollywood life, I would NEVER expect to recognise a name from the credits, so I find this way more exciting than you probably do. But I should have known, shouldn't I? I've duly been to his site and looked at his pictures (cool - particularly like the underwater one).

(Trouble is, it's now quarter to one and after watching lots of energetic sword-fighting, I want to jump around, not go to sleep. Must be my inner four-year-old.)

Yes, Mr. Gorgeous has done a lot of films. I remember when I went to my first premier. Walking down that red carpet with him was so surreal. I felt like a queen for a day. Miles is working on a new book. I get to be the succubus. (SP?) Mwaaa ha ha ha! And he will be with us at next years CON-vergence if you want to meet him.
