Leprechaun Lorraine

Here's a few photos of The Fabulous Lorraine's Peacock Do. Yes, she is the queen of St. Patties. I guess I should have bought her green sequined undies to wear under her skirt. Velcro anyone?

Now, we're off to eat Indian Food while wearing black victorian gowns and spider jewels....

ooh yum indian food and all dressed up! i had peanut butter and cheetos in my sweats. Hair looks great, and sounds like so much fun in store at balticon! Have fun creating, dancing and keeping the banshees at bay.

Lorraine I LOVE the peacock hair. It looks so very good on you too!

Don't let Malena talk you into sequins 'cause sequins are well..decidedly uncomfortable. But wouldn't green metallic boots that match your hair be even better??*lol*

Mmmm Indian food. Now I'm hungry.

Lorraine, you have pretty, pretty hair... I always think dark emerald green goes well with black. (Looks down at self wearing green and black - not Victorian gown, alas, but jeans and hoodie.)

So... there is no subtle way to introduce this: anyone want to see The Dress? (Not quite finished, but I am so excited, I have to share with someone! Four weeks to go!)

Indeed, I was about to fix breakfast and then got distracted by phonecalls and emails. As if the SquidBoy's kicking me isn't enough to get me off my butt to the blender. *sigh*

Lorraine, the hair turned out BEAUTEOUS! And K, you're dress is gorgeous.

(pictures Lorraine in green metallic Docs) Yep. You need those.

Lorraine: Pretty hair. I can actually see the green in the pictures. Granted, my inability to see different colors in your hair in other pictures is probably due to my eyesight. Now you need metallic green nail polish.

K: Beautiful dress!

K - your dress is beautiful! When is the magical day? and yours as well Miss Mousey, when does Squidboy (chuckle) make the grand entrance? I do miss those days!

nice hair, nice dress, and we loves indian food, precioussssssss!

Green...I like olive green and have some clothes in that color. It matches my eyes. :-) Black, brown, olive, garnet...yeppers, that is my wardrobe...
Except I seem to be wearing this fabulous shirt Ravyn gave me for my bday which is very brightly multi-colored.

What FABULOUS hair!! It is downright gorgeous... and I love the peacock reference... I absolutely adore the peacock-feather-green hue, so much so that I tend to decorate with peacock feathers (all gathered kindly I assure you)... and yes, the hair has that effect.. very well done.

I have seen dye jobs that try for that effect... and they generally are very poor.. but I like the hair extensions.

K - Stunning dress! I love the sash-thing... very classic (and that is meant as a high compliment). I hope you have spendid times in it and even better times out of it!

I hope the Indian Food was great! I went through a distinct curry-phase and now harbour a cupboard full of curry powder ... and my poor tongue can't handle spicy food, it just instantly ignites on fire.

Grandma Eva, as far as a bias goes, I suspect many of us on this blog are fairly biased towards the lovely ladies of LaM. :-) You have a very special and wonderful grand-daughter.

Hey LaMies! It's 2:40 am and I'm off to bed. I have a black tie party I'm singing at tomorrow. It makes it sooooooo much easier to sing when you're wearing a gown. I'm not sure why...maybe it's the opera background. Who knows. I wish Lorraine were here. We had such a grand time together. I'll take some photos tomorrow...in my rhinestones and feathers....

Oh what an exciting time, Malena! Hope the event was dazzling.

Lorraine, I've been doing research on hair extensions. Do you use any particular type of hair? I've read Remy virgin cuticle hair is the best. but I would bet that is for if you are trying to make your hair fuller. The great lengths hair seems nice if you are just going for color. Any thoughts? Anyone?

Please do share about your gig, Mistress Malena! And yes, I think being dressed for the part makes it MUCH easier to perform. It's right up there with go-go dancing. Dressed in jeans and a tank top I'd feel like an idiot standing on a platform and knowing people were looking at me. Dressed in a PVC miniskirt, my don't-****-with-me boots, a sparkley top and lots of eyeliner and I demand that the spotlight is on MY platform! ME ME ME!!! hee hee.

As for the hair extension question, I tend to use fake hair, but mostly because the real hair never comes long enough and is too expensive (hmmm... $5 per package of hair? or $35?). Mind you, I save a TON by always doing my own hair, but I don't recommend that for anyone unless you've got about 10 years practice, or don't mind others noticing your muck-ups in the back. ;)

mistress mousey...thanks for the hair extension info.

Someone I know just had some done and they are awesome.

Malena, where is this Times article on you? Wow! I'm communicating in high cotton now! :-)
