Green Hair and Sunshine

Well, the green hair turned out to be a really fine idea, it's lovely, kind of sea green with blonde and black. I'll have Miss Kitty take a nice photo and we will post it, so you can see the green in all it's glory!

It is hoped it will sustain me durning this marathon St Pats weekend. I had a friend tell me last night she had got my e-mail about the gig, but she laughed, and said I had made a typo, as it said I was playing Noon to 1:00am......

Sadly, I told her that was true, and she went silent and said: " Can you DO that????"

We will find out. I'll call Malena during the day, and she can post updates, maybe we can figure out how to do photos as well.

This weekend will be a little easier, I am off to LA today to work on music with Malena , in the sun and the warm, tho she told me to bring a raincoat. Rain? In LA???? I do not actually have a raincoat. I am not sure I even know where to BUY a raincoat.

We are going to work on our set for Balticon, let us know if there's anything special anyone wants to hear, and we will try and go for it....

Love and Music,
Lorraine

Safe trip, Lorraine, both to and from.

And, of course, have fun!
(Not that there's really any question.)

I wouldn't worry too much about the raincoat, just have an umbrella handy. I haven't owned a raincoat (raincape, actually) since the '70s.

Welcome Grandma Eva! and I echo her sentiments in having a safe trip, the warmth will be wonderful, and hope you don't need the umbrella. Tho even rain is better than this unending cold - and you up north have had it far worse than we Michiganders. Can't wait to see pics of your hair, and thanks for the info (and to you too Miss Mousey) for telling me what extensions are - maybe I will have to save up for some. Another dumb question - do they stay in ok when you wash them? Can you wash your hair like normal? Have fun making music!

Welcome Grandma Eva!
Oooh, green hair extensions!!
I want extensions. I don't think they have them here in PC, but I did see many people with them at DragonCon in Atlanta.

Funny you should ask about song requests. This morning on the way to work I was listening to Stephin Merritt's "Strange Powers" and it illustrated so many wonderful colors, feelings and images for me and I thought, "Hmmm...that might be a nifty song for LaM to do". Stephin always says in interviews that he doesn't like his own voice and wants good singers to sing his songs. The lyrics for the song: http://stephinsongs.wiw.org/tab/h.htm#h4

Lorraine :: Have fun in LA and travel safely! As always, I would love to hear "Marilyn" -- though if you saw fit to surprise us any other Dan Bern tune I would squeal with delight with delight like a little girl (which depending on what I was wearing at the time might not be seen as so out of character). And "Personal Thing" is, I think, my favorite lyrically, I think.

Grandma Eva :: Welcome! You have quite a grand and fabulous grand-daughter.

Hello, Grandma Eva! (How cool is your granny? Mine doesn't even know I have a blog, and possibly doesn't know what they are. Come to that, neither did my sister till I told her.)

I'd like to see the green hair-x too, though I think I personally have enough hair to be going on with. For the moment.

(By the way, who mentioned the Long Hair Community? I sometimes go there, but more often to the Livejournal longhair community... I've learned how to do lots of cool up-do's!)

Hello, Grandma Eva!

Lorraine - have fun in LaLaLand. *I* am green over your trips out there. I love the warmth and the light, and El Pollo Loco (sad but true) though the traffic isn't on my list of loves.

Kitty - here is the World's Cutest Puppy as requested. He aims to please... and jump, lick, chew, and generally be entertaining.

Those wanting to try extensions cheaply can get clip-in temps (no hair damage) here http://www.manicpanic.com/glamstrips.htm and likely other places as well. I've an assortment of clip-ins because it's easier to change colors and I mainly go for highlights.

Well, while Lorraine was sunning it up this w/e in CA, I was up in the Balt/DC area making Bcon plans and sewing cool clothes and dreaming up wunnerful surprises. :-)

Heh! So much I want to share, but I don't want to blow any potential surprises. But it was a great weekend filled with fun and frivolity and catching store clerks off guard. ;-) Even if I did get a splitting headache as soon as my plane hit sand, it was still nice to be warm again.

Yay for cool grandmas!

Hope LA la land has been a blast for you.

And perhaps this is what was meant by eating green spiders? ;P

-squeaks
who is currently extensionless, and now with 8" less hair (sometimes haircuts just plain rule). Green to be done in the next week or two.

I don't think I have ever seen hair extensions in person.... it makes me wonder about their texture.. do they feel like real hair?... I love the rainbow effects in the pics of your hair, L, and I wanted to add... best wishes for safe trips.

um... it looks like I might be able to make it to balticon, just maybe... still got some strings to pull.. tickets to procure... etc... but I feel I should add a vote, as far as requests go, for Personal Thing.

I am really looking forward to it, I hope it happens, I would be honoured to meet you, all of you. This blog has had a positive effect on my life and I am grateful to you for that. It is always a joy to wander over and see whats going on here, and it never fails to make me smile.

(K and Ariandalen I sure hope a chance for you both to come to the con comes about too!)

p.s. Danth, is there any space left in your room near the con? (I am happy to take a floor spot.)

Rubius! You must come! I am on the floor of a room with three lovely ladies. Maybe there is room for one more? It is not for me to say. If only it was a suite!
