Stuck in the Middle with You

Lorraine has entered into the eye of the storm here at the Teves House.

( Lorraine here...Not sure what she means by that, but I am thinking I will find out, personally , I am up for anything! Malena has walked away from the computer and so, I am hijacking her post! MMMMwwwwhahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is raining here and cold. Hmph. Could have had this in the Midwest. The company is good tho, and the music is fine . )

The Teves House has now officially been infested with Spiderwick creatures.

( a day later and she has once again walked away, silly girl, and yes, the place is covered in Spiderwick. I myself have been haveing a great time working on music, finding lyrics, watching Malena's dance ideas and just enjoying the sunshine, which has finally come out. Today we got to the grocery store, which was fun. Who said LA was dull, hee-hee...Yomorrow, more music, we are going to have some fun live in a couple of months!!!! )

( ok, two days later now and our Malena is still sewing madly. Or like a madwomen, which of course, we know, is not an unuseuel state of mind for the girl, hee-hee , so I am hijacking her post and publishing the little guy so you don't think we have left you forever, alone and forgotten.

We have a set list for Balti con done, and some ideas of how we are going to do the songs. If only we had a fog machine, strobe lights and some way for Malena to come down on a rope from the ceiling, THIS would be a SHOW... Actually, despite the lack of them , unless our con chair can work something more than minor miricles, hee-hee, it is going to be a really fun time. We have a lot of the songs from the cd and a whole bunch of favourates that we love and some that our producer, Adam Stemple does as well. If you haven't heard Adam , either solo, or with the Tim Malloys, save some money for cd's I am telling you! He is , simply, very, very good.

Personal Thing, and Marylin are both there on the set, as requested, not to worry.

Ok, I am going to make sewing girl some lunch, as one cannot live on music and art alone, and she never stops, at least not until the sun comes up.....

Pictures soon, promise!

Love and Hijacked Posts,
Lorraine)

Hey Lorraine - Can we touch base, via email maybe, this week, about Balticon stuff? i will be out all next week, and have very little internet access.

Malena - we need to talk this week :-)

Kitty - i owe you email.

And..... i'll pass your show requests onto our tech people, hehe. If we can't rig a rope for Malena to be lowered onto the stage..... maybe we can put her on roller skates and drag her by a rope to the center of the stage, would that work? **cackle**

Hey Ravyn, with such a ingenius tech like mym he should be able to make a rig for Malena. If he can't, then I lose all faith in his abilities. ::gergleschnerfzig::
Send me the pop corn! Should be fun to watch.

For all of you not in on the private joke, mym is my ex-fiance from YEARS ago and Ravyn had to drag him back into my awareness.

My little brother (who sings, when he has time) abseiled down a rope in the last show he was in - he was playing the romantic hero. During all the rehearsals and most of the shows, it worked perfectly. On the last night, as he threw the rope down from the flies a knot formed in it, so when he slid down it he got stuck about eight feet off the ground and had to unclip his harness and jump!

He did it with flair, but says he's never coming down a rope in public again. My mother, who was in the audience dying with anxiety, seconds this.

Also, the harness wasn't all that sexy and might interfere with whatever fabulous costume Malena is planning...

Anyway who needs special effects when you have Lorraine and Malena?

i can honestly talk to our fly rigger, they flew tommy across his drum sets 40 ft in the air, and lowered the dancers to unroll in pieces of cloth...
all comes down to your venue ceiling.
it IS rainy & yukky here in LA.
my apologies to Lolo for the fickle weather gods,
but it is probably blessing in disguise, as you would have shirked your work. (even more than i suspect you may have done, HAHA)
call you later, & Vandaluna, sometimes people resurface just when you are ready to see them &/or deal with them...xoxox Kitty

Actually, a fog machine and strobe light are probably only as far away as a Spencer's Gifts. They will at least have a strobe, though this time of year a fog machine may be difficult to find; they're all over the place for Halloween for $20-$25.

Grandma Eva: Hope you get out soon! The geese are on their way, I promise. Some came through Central Texas just last week.

Oh, but it would be so cool - lowered by a rig wrapped in black cloth, then unroll gracefully...fog, strobe, bubbles too, what drama! Hope you are both enjoying your week tho it sounds a bit on the damp side. Grandma Eva, hope you are able to work some magic and get out some! Its sposed to hit 50 tomorrow here, spring can't come quick enough.
