Lost with Wendy and Lisa

Went for a walk yesterday instead of the gym. I lovely long walk. Very long walk. When your bandmate lives on a twisty turny mountain , you need to watch out very carefully when she says things like " I've never been down that road, but it sure looks pretty"

Lost. Very lost. Good workout tho.

I think that Malena and I have the directional sense of newts. Kitty I am certain will agree. Strongly agree. She sent us directions, very nice, very clear directions, to the club last night, which me managed to muck up completely, tho I will say on our defense that we DID make it in time. More or less. She needed her Crystal Ball..

The Wendy and Lisa show was wonderful fun! Many thanks to Kitty for making it happen. It was my favorite sort of show, small club, only 150 and seating and people there to see the band. I had not heard them in many years and really liked what they were doing, tho I thought the band to big for the spot, perhpas they were trying it out, bandwise for a larger venue. I would have liked to hear more of the lyrics, as what I heard were lovely...oh and yes, that IS a Rhino Beetle on my chest.

Malena's wonderful friend Beth made it for her. I wore the RHINO Beetle necklace and my new RHINestone pants..gracias Mister Teves..I did look CUTE. Rainbow Who?

Today was a slower day, actually made it to the gym ( safer than walking around the roads I am thinking , for us anyway ) and had a lovely dinner here at home. Tomorrow Kitty is picking us up ( methinks she does not trust us to meet her at a specific spot at a specific time, hey, SHE is the tour manager, WE are just the rock stars! ) and taking us to Venice Beach, which ought to , by all accounts, be lovely.

Hope your week is as fine!

Love and Lost,
Lorraine

(hopefully this isn't double posting)

Heehee! I knew you'd get to it, but I also knew that Lorraine was gonna visit:) I bet you two have the same problem my best friend Jennifer and I have, where you're talking and you look up and uh, it's been 6 hours? Oops. LOL.
I bet Wendy and Lisa were fab-u-lous.

I'd tell you to enjoy yourselves but I'm pretty sure you're already there:).

Wonderful pictures of everyone. Really feels like you captured the evening well. It all sounds like loads of fun.

I love to walk but being currently city bound makes it challenging. I simply adore pretty roads that no one I know has been down before... they scream "come explore me" to me. For much of the four-ish years I had the privilege to live on the UBC campus I went exploring at least every other night (terribly dangerous I am sure).

And Malena... Your Mr Gorgeous seems to be wonderful and I really admire his art( and I am even a bit of an art snob so that is quite a compliment- teehee) and the nerdy store sounds glorious.

I am a bit of a night owl too, there is really something about the night air, some quality, it seems to crystalize reality/possibility so that you can read it in the darkness, breath it in and it seems to whisper in your blood of night-time secrets. Sigh, as far as readings - I know I would always love one, I love the energy of them, even if I am miserably skeptical about results. Personally I have spent the last day/week off of work (my first vacation from work for quite a while) reading myself - looking for direction - inspiration - etc, and some of the topics on this blog have certainly contributed to my contemplation... so, thanx to everyone on here, cause you are all inspiring in one way or another.

Fun post and great pics ladies! Hope you take LOTS at Venice Beach! Rubius, what a lovely post describing the night, I wish you luck in your week off. I've never had a reading but I'm certainly intrigued, tho I worry that it would be all bad news. It's warming up today, perhaps I'll be able to scrape the mouse off the driveway. Now there's a positive way to start a weekend. Enjoy all!

There is one thing about readings, whether you do them for yourself or get someone else to read for you, sometimes it's better not to ask a question if you don't _really_ want to know the answer. Not pointing any fingers, just speaking from experience; sometimes it's better to wait.

My 2 cents....yadda, yadda, blah, blah, blah. ;)

ariandalen: My mother always said if you don't want to know the answer, don't ask the question.

She read cards and i do readings for people locally. It is always amazing to me how accurate the cards are. They are a focal point which bring images and the reading is in the interpretation of those images.

I find I can't read for myself because my own thoughts and emotions color the readings.

I look forward to Malena's reading for me. :-)

Thanks for the kind words. I suppose I should clarify that when I said that I was reading myself this last while it was meant metaphorically not metaphysically, I have spent the week doing art, thinking, repositioning my mindframe, trying to discover a viable goal or path... a rereading of my current intentions, desires, interests, etc. A sort of take stock and look around kind of week off - not sure if it has been entirely successful as far a determination of goals but I think it is a step (even if it is only a baby step). I believe that self-reflection and realization is the most powerful tool of change.

Heather, I haven't forgotten you. Monday or Tuesday you WILL get your reading.

When I do readings, I look at people's choices, where they choose to spend their energy, what their guides are saying, etc. It's not as Whoooooo as you think. I was getting some inspiration for tuaregblue the other night. I get lots of info in my dreams and at night. Ya think?

Lorraine is being VERY patient with my weird schedule. Vanda, I can do your reading next week. Basically, all you need to do is tell me what you want inspiration on, work, love, etc. I can get info by just looking at a photo or hearing a persons name. I have no idea what I will get, I just have to be open to what the universe has to say..
