Ghost Roses

I've been feeling a little under the weather this week. (Haven't been posting much due to this cold) But SOMEONE knew just the thing to cheer me up. GHOST ROSES! Yes, The Fabulous Lorraine came to the rescue...again. I'm feeling a bit better today. Amazing, did you know chocolate ice cream can calm a sore throat? Hee hee. (No, just an excuse for Malena to have a treat.)

Lorraine was gigging tonight with Paul and sent me a photo. I thought I'd share it with you before she could say NO! Doesn't she look cute?

When I finally finish sniffling, I have a LOT of photos to share with you. Kitty and I went to see Narnia at the EL Capitan theatre. I got to see all the costumes and THE wardrobe! So, I will be posting all that very soon!

I've been busy getting my magic shop online. Soon, I will have lots of herbs, candles, and fun little dead things to buy. Where else can you find real Graveyard Dirt, Mandrake Root and Blood colored ink? Not to mention fabulous goth girl shoes. Soon, people, soon! And of course, I will be bringing fun stuff to Balticon and CONvergence. Ohhhh Miss Kitty made us some LaM magic bracelets. They will be up soon on our LaM site. We really like them, and you will too! Kitty Meow's jewelry really is magical...because SHE is magical. Otherworldly that girl is. Now I'm talking like Yoda.

Well, I'm off to bed. Just wanted to check in and say hello to everyone. Apple Blossom, thank you for your wonderful email. We'll all get healthy together.
LaMie Power!

Lovely pic of Lorraine!

Oooh, I'm so looking forward to perusing your wares, Malena! I've been thinking of asking you for a reading if you wouldn't mind, but I would rather wait until Balticon, if you think that's best. Many changes are happening in my life (been accepted to law school in the fall) and I need some feedback and I can't read for myself.

I'm getting really excited about meeting everyone!

Luvvies,
vanda

Apple, that's a big YES on the gaming, here..... the hubby and i have a group of gamers that meets every other month. (we're meeting at our place this very weekend, heh).

We sometimes do RPG (not me though), but lately it's been card games and board games.

Balticon has a pretty good gaming room, and a separate computer gaming room. So if you can make it to Balticon, there will be plenty of gamers around :-)

Ooh I love Apples to Apples! It is such a hoot, I agree and with drinking even better - we would get so hysterical playing it when we were camping we would get yelled at for being too noisy after hours. Malena, hope you are feeling much much better, and Vanda - a huge CONGRATS on being accepted to law school! That's fantastic! I am so hoping to go to Balticon too, I registered but alot will depend on what is going on here with the hubby's business (we're self-employed). I have never played games beyond stuff like apples to apples, but it would be fun to learn, are rank beginners ok?

I have heard of this "Apples to Apples", and would be interested in trying it out at Balticon.

Glad you're feeling better, Malena. :) Pretty roses. There's lots of neat Goth stuff in the new Pyramid Collection catalog, which is also available online, including a Goth themed terrarium.

Vanda: Congratulations!

Is this the point where I sniffingly reply about not being able to go to Balticon?
;)

WOW!
Thank you everyone for your nice comments about law school!

And, as per Lorraine's advice, Malena, let me know how you would like to arrange a reading. :-) But only after you feel better. You need your energies right now.

Balticon will be awesome. Ravyn and I talk every day about plans. Time goes so quickly and we will all be so busy, but we kind of thought the corsetted goddess party would provide some quality time for all of us. It is a private party, by invitation only, but I think Ravyn invited the posters of this blog. I don't know if she mentioned that any males would have to be in loin cloths (my suggestion) or kilts (her suggestion). :-)

I've been feeling like this Balticon is going to be something special...a convergence of people of a special spirit with lots of love and energy.

As for gaming...my daughter, Alchemy, would love to play anyone in a game of Magic the Gathering. She has a deck which I call facist. She kills me every time.

Luvvies,
Vanda

Sounds like a very unique online shop,M, and the ghost roses are lovely, I will have to send you my blood rose picture - perhaps its sanguin nature will help improve your health too. Hope you feel better soon.

I am an out-of-touch gamer. I enjoy board, card, and group games, (chess especially) and I love computer and nintendo/sega/playstation/x-box-like games (in their multitudinous varieties but mostly rpgs - and I agree, Halo totally counts) as well I hold on to a private fascination with d&d (which has been terribly ignored for a considerable length of time) and I even played softball for at least 13 years (as well as a couple other sports occasionally).... so yes, I consider myself a gamer.

and apples to apples sounds like great fun

on another note, not that I will likely get a chance to join in :( but shouldn't males have the choice of wearing a dress/corset to the party too? ;P

Regimental...Ravyn you doll! S'why I luvs ya!

Oh, btw, remember to ask Ravyn to introduce you to her friend "Woodie". ::snicker::

Rubius: Yes!! Men can wear corsets! Fish nets too if they so choose!

Apple: Thank you! The accomplishment, for me at least, will be finding the funding to actually go. I think, however, that the goddess has had this in the works for me for a while and I will go if it is meant to be. 2006 is a year of changes, at least for me. :-)

w00t. I am all for the comfort of a kilt. Or a skirt. Or a dress.

(Wearing a skirt was the gateway drug to my then-future cross-dressing. Then came the nail polish, then the dresses, then the hair and makeup, then fooling the other students at tri-dorm mixers. Bwahahaha!)

Balticon is going to be a special convergence on many levels.
