Fly, fly Miss Fabulous
Well, Miss Fabulous is off on her plane. We had a wonderful time. I'm so glad we had our webcam meeting. They are always so fun. Balticon is getting closer and closer. I had no idea so many of our LaMies were coming. WEhooooooooooooo! Party time.
Lorraine and I are busy learning new songs and brushing up on old ones. She in the guitar and me on the violin. What a pair we make, ah? A brilliant violinist becomes a guitarist and a opera singer starts playing violin. Anything for LaM. We love it so.
The weather is a real demon in Minneapolis so be sure to post a note for Miss Fab. Poor thing, traveling in the snow. We sunny cali girls forget how cold 5 BELOW zero really is.
We'll be back together for more fun in one week. Stay tuned.
Malena

Have a safe flight and landing, Ms. Fabulous, and stay warm!
I have to admit, I'm glad I live in Texas. :)
Have a good flight and safe drive home! It's snowing here too, and tomorrow I will be forced into using the snow thrower. darn. I give you credit for getting on the flight at all - I think I would have hid in a closet so I wouldn't have to leave!
I'm not sure if I like the warm or cold, but it was nice going out today without a coat. I live in Panama City Beach, Florida, and the weather can get chilly. But somehow I long for the D.C. days of freezing temperatures.
I hope the flight was good.

I'm flying home to D.C. from Boston tonight. I thought it was cold before I left, but Boston has taught me what true cold is! Have a safe flight home, Lorraine!
How do you arrange some of the more instrument-ful songs when performing them live? Will you be bringing any other musicians to Balticon? I can't wait.

Hope you had a safe and pleasant flight Miss Fab.
I may be crazy but I wish there was more snow here in Vancouver, Canada. We had one brief dusting that slushed itself far too quickly, for me anyway. It is fluxuating around 0 celsius here (32 f).... sadly I can never be sure we will have a snowy xmas. (so how can I check the roof for reindeer footprints? tee hee)
hello my darlings
i am flying into DC tomorrow and hear it is going to be a tad treacherous...hope Lolo made her flight ok, i would think i would hear something if not--
she commands the sky gods anyway, so not to worry.

must thank my lucky stars to have an airport shuttle as fine as malena! she has graciously offered to drive me to the plane tomorrow, wish i would be staying here now that i hear the weather.

It's aliiiiiiiiive!
To answer some questions:
According to a sonogram i had in Sept., the cysts were small enough to be removed by laparoscopy. No big deal.
BUT, when the doc got in there on Tuesday, he discovered that the dermoid cyst had grown to grapefruit size, and was therefore too large to remove by laparoscopy. So he had to make a 5" incision and take it out the old fashioned way.
They had to keep me overnight, but i am home now. Trying to rest. My lower abdomen is very sore, and it makes moving around a bit awkward. i'm trying to stay off my feet as much as possible for the next few days. Total recovery time will probably be at least 4 weeks, but i'll be able to spend some time each day working, just not long stretches of time.
Thank you very much, everyone, for the well wishes. i really really really appreciate them :-)
dan guy: I'm flying up to Boston in January. Thanks for the cold weather warning. I didn't even have a winter coat and had to buy one just for this trip.
As for Ravyn, it was funny and sad talking to her on the phone today. Her huzbin came in and made her laugh which made her hurt even worse. I felt so sorry for her but I still laughed.
Luvvies,
vanda
Lorraine: Glad you made it home okay. I think snow is beautiful, as long as I don't have to be out in it. :)
Rayven: I'm going to assume you have staples. Life is much better after they are removed, about a week after surgery. I had both my girls by C section, so I know how much fun a bikini line incision is, though I'm glad I didn't need a zipper (vertical incision). Take your pain meds as needed, along with a stool softener, as I'm sure your doctor told you. Everything will heal nicely with little to no scar.
Adam Stemple? Woo!
Where did you find it? Interesting read Audiovox thera replacement lcd
