All ABout Pets!
Help needed!!! I have pictures now of two little Bengal Kitties and I need to choose ONE to bring home and love! How can I choose??? They are both so very sweet!!! I would take both in a heartbeat, but they are pricy little bits of sweetness, and Misty-girl might not like having two new friends. I think Misty will like the kitten, as she used to live with other cats, and New Kitty will be so very small....
So, what do you all think???
On another note, I am taking care of Boss'es new Dog, who is a joy and a delight, and I have never really been a Dog Person, but I had him out this morning out at Boss'es, and was talking to the Landscaper about things when Dog took off like something launched from a cannon. ( a bird , I believe ) Well, he took me with him, like something out of a cartoon, I flew, which was fine until I landed.
Head, hip and shoulder went down in the drive like a bang. ( fortunately for the gig tonight, on the left side ) I am beyond bruised and man oh man, in some pain. I felt more bad about the poor Landscaper than anything else , as he looked so stricken and kept saying OH MY GOD ARE YOU OK??? All I could say was TAKE THE DOG, in a weak voice...
Dog is good one, and it was my fault for being distracted and Dog is going to Dog Class every week and he really seems to want to know what to so and do it, but I think I will be more sore tomorrow! Thank the Gods for Hot Tub!
( I may have to do an Ellen Degeneres and do the show tomorrow night from a BED, hee-hee )
Very fun show tonight,( needed help on and off the stage but, hey, one makes do..) made lots of new friends , especially a Small Person who came up and played violen for us. Made the night for me she did, born performer . Pics will be up on paulandlorraine.com soon....
Love and soreness,
Lorraine

Do rub in some calendula oil or cream for the pain but you'll have to have the bruises for a while, I think.
You were lucky nothing was broken.
Oh and on the kitty's issue, I would tend to go for the one with the bigger spots, because it looks even more like a sheetah (is that the way this is spelled ? B&%@# Blogger not having a spell checker).
N.
I like that one too!
And I am lucky nothing was broken, tho it sure FEELS like it!
I know, I am the worst speller in the WORLD , due to a since abandoned way of teaching kids to read ( something I could already do when I started Kindergarten , messed me up it did ) and I am midely dyselxic...Spell checker saves me time and time again....
Hey, that seems to be a difficult choice...had I been in your place, would have taken both of them home..I just love cats!!
I would take them both but they are $700 each....
OUCH! about the Dog adventure. Glad you're OK.
The kitty in the first pic looks like it has gothy striped stockings for legs and is giving the camera that "take me home" look. I think my vote is on that one.
Do you have my email? E-me about a moonvine. We'll figure out a way to get one up to you.
Ooo, the one in the top photo - what a beauty!! both are, but the top one has captured my heart... aagh I cannot get any more animals here - 2 dogs, cat, ferrit, hamster,cockatiel,fish...have fun choosing! Poor dear, I hope you heal quickly - I had a dog take me across an asphalt parking lot on my knees (of course I was wearing shorts) and lord, I was sore and can sympathize! Be very careful now walking dog - you can hardly afford another tumble - maybe you should bring another person to help while you are healing. Have a wonderful (and painfree, healing) weekend all!
Just got this from the nice lady who has my Kitty..
Both kitties have cute faces so don’t pick on that alone. Its just really hard to have them look at the camera when you shoot.
the kitty with smaller spots will have a lot smaller and more markings, she will have a couple little rosettes you will be able to see. A lot smaller markings.
the other one has less and larger already opened ones.
So , just keep looking at the two till one pops out at ya. Don’t look at the faces, both are cute. Just look at which markings you like better.
Hope that helped a little. I know it can be hard.

Both of them are adorable (I'm completely a sucker for kittens) but I think I like the top one best.
Lorraine I'm glad you're ok.
I feel for you, 'cause I had a horse do something similar once and I was all kinds of sore. Hot tub goooood.:)
Choices, choices... I can't offer any cat-choosing advice, I'm afraid.
I hope you survive the Dog incident. Hopefully you won't wake up tomorrow covered in bruise and unable to move a limb or too.
Re Dog: YOWCH. He's just one loving bundle of energy, isn't he? (I have linked to this entry on your Boss' LJ feed, where the entire Neil Fandom has fallen in love with The Dog - from a safe distance. ::grin::)
I hope the aches and pains go away very soon.
As for the kittens...awwwwwwwww. I think the cattery lady said it best. Just keep staring at them both till you fall for one of them. Good luck!
Why not let the kitten pick you? Can you go see the kittens before you can take one home? They may be small now, but IIRC, Bengals can get up to 30 lbs. Granted, Misty will have taught the new kitty who's boss by the time it's gotten that big. ;)
Do some research on arnica. I seem to remember that, applied topically in oil or lotion, it helps alleviate soreness. I agree that Hot Tub is probably a good thing. Take care of yourself.
Talk about your Sophie's Choice! They both look so cute? Can't you take them both? The more the merrier; no? I think the advice of why not let the kitty chose is wise but you sound like such a lovely person I think both kiitens would want you to be there mommy. Oh, well, I can't help. Love your dog story! Take care and let us know what kitty you picked! Blessing & namaste.
I am in love with both of them. The place they are is a couple hours away, so I can't nip up there and see them , but I am certain the right one will come to me..
gig tonight was a good one, lots of truly wonderful people, tho ai did hurt pretty badly by the end of it. Roadie Elizabeth ( who is also the manager of Dreamhaven Books ) , saved me by tearing down in record time!!!
Maureen, Elizabeth will be at Wiscon and says she will take charge of the Moonflower Vine. Wish I was going to be there!
Off to limp off to Bed...

hmmm, based on the comments by Candi, the one with smaller markings might be the one I would pick - tho it's hard not to fall for the one mugging for the camera! I guess I agree tho, that it would be nice if you could go there and play with both. Based on his looks, I never would have picked my corgi out of the litter, but he jumped in my lap and stared at me like "what, you don't think I belong to you?" and my heart melted....
Maureen, if you could bring the moonvine to the dealer's room at Wiscon, that would be great. Preferably late Sunday or early Monday, so we don't have to keep an eye on it all weekend. (Or, more to the point, avoid crushing it . . . )
Kittens (yawn). Now if it were rats, I'd have an opinion!
Elizabeth you can have all the rats you want , for saving me Saturday! Maureen, can we make this happen without stressing anyone? I SO want to have a Moonflower! ( The flower Malena says I will never see, hee-hee, I go right back at her about morning glories! )
Very much less sore today and Dog and I have been having a lovely time together, tho I am looking forward to getting some help when Boss is out of town....
so, inquiring minds want to know - is it kitten 1 or 2??? hope you are feeling fit as a fiddle - and i have given up on blogger, so i will be either ivenotime, or sue, at blogger's whim...
..and apparently i am sue....
As nearly as I can tell, sue, you have to go to blogger.com, log in, click on "Edit Profile", change your name there. Then go back to blogger.com, click on "My Account", and make sure you have "ivenotime" set as a nickname.
I *think* that ought to do it.
ps- Michelle says hi! She is reading but having trouble posting.
testing to see if i have licked the blogger issue
well, praise be, thank you Dan!
Lorraine,
Why does Malena says that you would never see Moonflowers ? You seem to be a proficient enough gardener.
N.
Let's hope it sticks, ivenotime! ^_^
