Happy Friday the 13th

I was wondering why I was so witchy today, making facial cleansers, bat soaps and such. And what do you know...it's Friday the 13th! I think my Yoga teacher has given up on me having "inner calm". peace, yes calm, not really. I am always on the go! Movin' and a shaken' baby!
I am working on a film project that is really cool and dark and "of all things nocturnal". I can't go into detail yet, but here's a photo to tie you over. Corrine, my new friend came over to take some snapshots for wardrobe references. I have bribed Corrine into getting sexy for the corset shoot. She's "Booty-licious" so she will be "shaken whatha Mama gave ah" very soon. THANK YOU CORRINE! She is a stand up comic and actress. In the comedy clubs she is lovingly known as "The Jew Rican" I like it. It's controversial, yet multi-cultural. I guess that would make me the "Welsh Witch". (It's the best I could come up with, help me out here)

This corset is what I call, "The Countess".

In real life, the middle is dark purple.

NOW ON TO PRODUCTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had a few friends ask about how to keep their skin clear. So, I thought about it for a while and figured I'd make up a toner for them. (AKA Sea Breeze)Remember, before I was "Mrs. Teves" I owned a little co. called Advanced Aromatherapy. I sold the stuff at a store I had a partnership in with my friend Cindy Hilton.

I figured I'd test it out on MY FACE just to make sure it worked before I sold it to all of you. It helps minimize pores and helps with breakouts. I made it with Rose Geranium, rosemary, rose water, tea tree, and abunch of other stuff. All the ingredients were grown in my little courtyard, except the vitamin C and the witch hazel.
So, LaMies...I am going to put all your names in a hat (except for the people who have already won something) and send you out some toner and a bat soap for FREE! I will announce the winners this weekend. If you want to BUY the toner, it's $15.00 including shipping. The soap is $7.00 including shipping. The green bats smell like Mango and the orange bats smell like Apple pie. You can buy them here:
Malena's Specials
I made a small batch as you can see, just for us....Because after all, today is for the freaks. And I know I'm a weirdo and you must be too if you're reading this.

Lllllllllllllloooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeee Ya!
"Countess Teves" well, until I take off the corset anyway!
myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics oh, and Happy Birthday Kristina!

Yeah!!! That's what I needed to see today. A smiling Malena. The soap and toner look very cool. I love the bat shapes. KawaiiIIII!!! I look forward to ordering some. On that topic I was wondering if you are still selling your signature perfumes? They are great.

I have been aware of this Friday the 13th for a few years now... I always look forward to Friday the 13ths and I have known for 2 or 3 years that 2007 would have one in April... Today is my b-day. I am sick... and hyper-allergic... and I worked an hour and a half overtime but at least it is raining (no I am not being sarcastic... the rain is washing the pollen and dust away). But Malena's smile always brings me joy. Overwhelming joy.

Malena you were my happy thought last night as I tried to stay positive and not stress (so my hives will go away). I sang Dark Sonnet three times before drifting off to sleep last night... hearing your voice and remembering when I first saw you and Lorraine in the hallway at Balticon. Sigh, it fills me with peace. Thank you.

Yes, I still sell perfumes. Let me know what kind of smells you like and what you want to come into your life (job, better health, love, etc) and I'll whip one up for you. It's $20.00 including shipping.

BTW, Dan, our Master of the Web just had a baby! Well, his wife had a baby, but he helped!
Fablo and I are getting baby goth presents together. Is there ANYTHING cuter than a baby goth? NO! Dan, can you post your address so all of us can send you a little something? Thanks!

Yes Dan, please do! Hope all is going a bit more smoothly for you and your family, and your car problems are getting resolved. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTINA! Many blessings to you, and hope the rain has left the air much cleaner. Here, it is still winter, as we got DUMPED on yet again- 6 inches, tho it is melting quickly - Heard it was nasty your way too Lorraine - will it ever be spring? Malena, the soaps are just too cute, the corset is lovely - you go girl, calm is overrated....

Happy Belated Birthday Kristina:)
I hope for your sake that the rain keeps the pollen beasties at bay for a bit. I'm sitting here sneezing and typing and sneezing and typing myself.

Malena, the bat soaps are so cute.:)
I like that corset but I'm not so sure about the stand-up collar thing (well, for me at least..it looks lovely on you as usual;)

Heeheeehee...goth baby stuff. I think my favorite is the pacifiers that look like vampire teeth.

Dan I hope for your sake you're getting SOME sleep by now, since babies are the perfect sleep interrupters.;)

Countess Teves, you are a Witchy Women indeed! Not bad looking either, hee-hee. I am still useing the soaps we made last time you were out! Can't wait for some face things, your things are the best smelling ever. I won't use any others...

Weird gig last night. Fingers crossed for a better one tonight. Mostly we took breaks. No one noticed. Friday the 13th???? Possibly....

The snow is ALMOST gone here, and Spring MIGHT come soon, but I am not holding my breath. All was frost this mornng. I've started all my little plant guys indoors tho.

Happy Birthday , Kristina!!!!!!!

Mmm... apple pie... sounds good.

My Friday the 13th wasn't so exciting... just worky stuff. Nothing terrible happened, but we had some very spooky mist that drifted past in big wisps.

I saw this quiz (OK - took this quiz. I love quizzes) and thought of you... what kind of witch are you? I think I can guess!

I'm an earth witch. Solid, loyal and good at making stuff grow - that's me!

Congats to the winner! I would had been shocked if I would had won! I never win! Which is rather "interesting" . Still, I'm a rather interested in your toner. Due to stress my skin has broken out and looks like releave map of the Andes! One thing that always impresses me about the photos of you and Lorraine is the fact that you two have such beautiful skin! Please e-mail me a way I may purchase a your toner. A faceless and an unimportant fan.

Thank you very much all!!! and major Congrats to the winners! Countess Malena you have such a giving spirit... and you are always full of good ideas... and your corsets are soooooooooooooo pretty!!

Thanks for the addy Danth. Best of wishes for the little ones. The piccies of your babes are especially cute!!

Don't despair Yoga Gal!! I am sure the world is saving up your luck to bring you something or someone extra special... Don't ever think of yourself as faceless or unimportant. You are neither of those things to any of us.

:-)

I came through as an air witch, but I have to admit I didn't get all the 'thin' references in the quiz. It seemed like every second question had a 'thin' reference.

Yeah, I didn't get the "thin" references either, Rubius (and nobody will ever call me thin. Actually, if they ever did I'd be insulted!)

I never win anything either, but I think I'm quite lucky otherwise so I don't mind. There are different kinds of winning.

Wonder if reading your witchy women's blog has effected my CARMA. First on Lorraine's and Paul blog read about Dan Guy's car pile up. Then Miss Kat wrote on her blog about her fix it ticket and bad tire change. Yesterday I got rearended while driving down the Hollywood 101 Freeway. Now, I think I have whiplash! I feel weak, dizzy and I have nausea. Do any of you ladies have some witchy woman advice? Thanks!

Malena, thanks for the link. Lorraine, I hope your good things grow like maniacs... and that the sun shows up in you and Ivenotime's part of the world in time for them.

Yoga gal, I hope you feel better soon. Sorry I have no tips for your pain. All I can say is think of this place as a positive nexus, there are no negatives to take away from here.

Kitty, you greek MkGoddess you, what part of Greece is your family from (if you don't mind me asking)? Thanks for the movie tip. I was a bit apprehensive about the level of violence since I try to avoid it generally but I AM a classics geek at heart and Thermopylae was an Incredible battle. I always seem to overthink Greek and Roman movies though, trap of the trade, I suppose.

and just because it has made me super happy lately... a link to a Japanese music video. I love it. May it make you happy too. It has a positive message if you read the lyrics. I found it through anime, my other geekdom (it is the opening theme for Bleach, Season 1).

Hope everyone is well, or at least feeling better. :)

Let me know when you get them.

Lorraine - a question for you.

Malena said I should ask you about what you use to reduce cat allergens in your house. It turns out I *may* be allergic to my darling kitty LaMie ... and I REFUSE to give her up. That said all I can do then is *damage control* to keep her dander down. any suggestions?

At 11:20 PM , Blogger spacedlaw said...

You have tea tree growing in your garden, Malena ?
(now THAT is exotic...)

At 2:50 PM , Blogger Fabulous Lorraine said...

I have pineapple mint, wormwood, foxglove, belladonna and all kinds of plants that are strange. I even have those odd phallic shaped mushrooms that just grow on their own. Miles and I chose Oleanders for the front yard and sure enough, they're poisonous too! Go figure...

My package came.. hooray!! I love everything.. the skin toner smells wonderful. Thank you, thank you.

I also got your new CD.. Bravo, Bravo!! I love it.
