LaM's sewing frenzy

I saw a beautiful Doll on the Dolls and Daggers site named Thorn. (Link on the blog) SHe was sooo me. Since I couldn't buy her, I thought, Hey I'll make her! And off I went to the craft store. (Malena's backyard Shed)

So, this little thing I'm holding is Lorraine's Doll Corset. Cute huh? I made it out of leather. It has 6 panels just like the real thing. She is going to love it. What a could be cuter for Lorraine's B day/V day than Lorrraine a Malena Dolls?! I'll post the doll photos when I'm finished with them.
Yeah! Girly heaven. She may only get one at a time at this rate. I have plans to mass produce them someday, but for now they're very.. shall we say, exclusive? He hee
SORRY DEVA. You know I'm not good at keeping things from you. We are as usual, doing the same thing.

AWESOME corset Malena!!
The weird psychic occurrence of the day!

And for you Lorraine...my friend, Alexandra Ceelie, the Net Kitten, posted on her live journal a great thing by Andy Rooney about women over 40 (I turned 40 in January).

Oooh. Leather. I've been wanting to fool with leather again, but have all these Other Stupid Obligations to rid myself of first.

Malena - the teeny tiny corset is adorable and the craftsmanship is superb! :-)

I made a leather coat once (absolute opposite scale of the corset... it's full-skirted and billowy and human-sized. Daneth Guyeth asketh ( sorry!) about it the other day so I did get around to taking photos. It's wrinkly from the overstuffed closet, but it's pictured in my last LJ post

Darling corset! Can't wait to see the doll that fits into it! And Lorraine, can't wait to see what you are making. Have fun at your gigs and hope Gemma contacts you. I know this is OT, but the last post ran by me too fast to post a comment - Vanda/Ravyn, I'm fairly certain I am coming to Ball-Tie-Con and would be honored and delighted to come to the corset party. (please?!?) I will volunteer and promise to work hard at whatever tasks the taskmasters have at hand...I registered quite a while ago, and currently it looks as tho the family will be fine if I leave for a bit. I too need to see Danth in his Corseth.

Malena I bow to your goddessness on the sewing machine as that corset is so very adorable and well made.

Lorraine I understand your frustration with the sewing machine..I'm trying to learn myself and sometimes I just wanna throw it through the window.

Nobody told me bellydancing would be such an expensive hobby. lol

I'm seriously contemplating making a ghillie shirt for my aged toy moose (he already has the kilt - not made by me) but that takes the cake!

... and suddenly the baby clothes I've been making don't seem so very small any more. :) Perspective is silly.

And AWESOME corset and doll idea!

Miniature anything fascinates me, and I've been known to do some small things - none of them sewn. The doll corset is wonderful, Ms. Marvelous.

::sigh:: I'll have to relearn sewing for my self as I've ordered a pattern set from Folkwear (the Tribal Bellydancer). That, and two daughters who like going to Renn faires with their parents. :)
